Pokémon collecting is serious business.
Aug. 12th, 2008 02:48 pmAw, darn--I got up at 5:45 AM to watch the auction end, and it ended for a great price! Wayyy below my max bid. I was so thrilled I had trouble going back to sleep.
But it turns out I didn't win it because the bidding service is closed for the holidays. :( I'm so disappointed, but I might as well just move on because being disappointed won't do me any good at all.
There are a few other lots with what I want, thankfully, though none of them are as good as that one was. Because they end one after the other (within two or three hours of each other) in four days, I may arrange a group auction with people bidding on the items from both (explaining the situation clearly, of course), so if we don't win the first one we can try for the second one seamlessly. I think I'll make a post about that tomorrow.
I hope I win one or the other of those two auctions!
I put the guinea fowl in with the chickens for the first time yesterday night, though it was just for about forty-five minutes with me watching them carefully. It went surprisingly well, though Constantinople the buff orpington was curiously stalking them the whole time. XD
