My right wrist and arm have been hurting pretty badly today for no apparent reason, so I'm a bit concerned it might be Carpal Tunnel from all the typing, drawing, DS-playing, and so on and so forth. :( Thus, not going to write much, as typing with my left hand only is slow and irritating.

Guess that blocks out playing DS and drawing, too. Hmmm. Watching more anime it is, then!

I never did catch my Tanabata/777 shiny Absol. ;_; I chained forty of them and reset for about two hours, and I still didn't get one (and this was after about four chains of thirty or more and a bunch of smaller chains). After the forty chain was broken by a misstep, I continued chaining Absol until past midnight, but still no success.

While I was playing, I noticed my tongue and throat were really hurting. Long story short, I had an allergic reaction (this time a real allergic reaction, not GERD) that caused my tongue, throat, and lips to swell up, and although it wasn't too bad, Mom made me go to the ER anyway. Before we left for the hospital, she gave me some Benadryl, which mostly took care of the problem by the time we got to the ER. But, of course, I still had to be admitted, and therefore we didn't leave the hospital until 3:30 AM. At noon or so the next day I woke up and my tongue and throat were swollen again, so I went back to the ER. This time we just sat outside until I felt better, but still.

I am getting SO TIRED of these stupid health problems. I've been fine since about 2 PM yesterday, so I'm thinking I possibly reacted to the new pillows I got the other day. I removed those from my room and I've been okay since. I'm still on Benadryl constantly, though.

Now for some bird stuff! I got in a little injured scrub jay the other day, but it died the night I got it. It probably had internal damage because of a fall, and I wasn't expecting it to survive. It did nothing but sleep and I had to force feed it. I have two other scrub jays--one older fledgling and one younger fledgling. The older fledgling escaped outside yesterday when I was trying to feed him and flew high into the nearby trees. He remained in the wild for at least three hours. I had nearly given him up as a lost cause when he flew down to a low tree by the deck and I was able to capture him and put him back in the cage.

That skinny baby crow I got in before Anime Expo is thriving. :D

I also have two quail now--the one I've had for quite a while is getting really BIG and I also have a little quarter-sized one. They're in with a young chick and are doing well.

I named some of the chickens I got in April yesterday. I need to take pictures sometime soon--they're really gorgeous. ♥ My two Silver Sebright hens are named Solitaire and Domino, my Golden Sebright hen is Carmel, one of the Silver Duckwing Old English is Chise, and one of the BB Red Old English is Aka. Also, the blue cochin's name is officially Cochin Bobochin. XD I still have two Mille Fleur d'Uccle, one Silver Duckwing Old English, and one BB Red Old English to name, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know. :D

That's about it, I think... I've been reading [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets a lot lately, and chaining Vulpix. I'm still determined to get a shiny Vulpix. :D

I've been so bad about updating. XD

Ummm, life has been...stressful still. :/ I won't write much because I can't remember what I want to write about, but lots of bird stuff and hotel stuff and medical stuff has been going on.

First off, the "pinkie/nestling jays" that were "killdeer" (the rehabber who brought them to me said they were killdeer, but when they arrived I determined they were jays and then...???) turned out to be...I have no idea what. One of the two died, unfortunately, and I think it was my fault. I aspirated it on accident because it kept spitting the Exact up and I thought it had recovered, but it died during the night. The remaining one is black with brown tips on the feathers, appears to have a jay-like beak, white flanges, and a pink mouth. It makes a "chichichichi" sound. Er, no idea. I transferred it to another rehabber today, though, because I was too overwhelmed with all the birds and health problems and hotel issues.

Also, the day after I released the crow and magpie, I got another crow in--this time an adult injured crow. I was immediately concerned about it because it was weak enough to be captured, and the lady who brought it to me told me that there were a bunch of other crows around it cawing. Crows often gather around dying crows and make a racket, so that immediately set off warning bells. Long story short, the bird has a broken wing and is diseased, and is probably going to die tonight. We tried to take it to Dr. Lund today, but he was in a surgery and couldn't see the bird. I think even if Dr. Lund saw the bird, it still was too late for it. :( Anyway, I'm hoping it has a peaceful death at least, and if it makes it to the morning I'll bring it to the vet.

I also got another jay--this time, it's a scrub jay. So I have this cage of five jays out on the front deck, and they basically yell and fly around and act insane all of the time. XDDD At least they're all healthy!

This morning at 3 or 4 AM, I had another episode of difficulty breathing. We had to go to the ER again, though like last time, I didn't actually have to be admitted. We just waited outside in the car for a few hours until I felt better. Still, Mom had me take Benadryl, and that in conjunction with only about three hours of sleep made me incredibly exhausted. ._.;

Now I'm not feeling 100% again, but hopefully it'll pass tonight. Hopefully. I don't really want to make any more late-night excursions to the ER.

Also, we booked a hotel room! It's three miles from the convention, which is a lot farther than I wanted, and it's not exactly a top-o'-the-line hotel, but it's inexpensive and available. Gah, finding anything that even has any vacancy at all is nearly impossible at this point.

We may be able to pick Zoe up over the weekend in San Francisco because Dad's going to a poster show! I have to e-mail Zoe and inform her of this. >.>

I hate my health problems. I wish they would all just go away. :( Also, it's kind of depressing that I've gotten in fifteen birds so far, and five have died (if I include the crow, who may or may not be dead at this point).

I have sooo much anime to catch up on. I'm not even going to make goals to finish it right now. XD

I've been so bad about writing entries lately. ._.; I hate it when I get behind on entries, but I've just been busy and haven't felt like writing much.

Yesterday morning I woke up at 6 AM having difficulty breathing, so I went to the ER again. I didn't actually go INTO the ER, nor was I admitted, but we sat out in the parking lot while I decided whether or not I'd get over it. I did get over it, though it took me about two hours or so. Thankfully I got home in time to wake up the birds and feed them as regularly scheduled. XD;

We're starting to think this is some sort of asthma or something, as it doesn't appear to be an allergic reaction. I'm getting an inhaler soon, so we'll see if that helps or not and go from there. I'll hopefully have this thing somewhat pinned down by Fanime, because the last thing I need is to need to go to the ER while I'm there. I do not allow things to ruin Fanime. Fanime is a sacred event that should not be marred by bad health or discomfort.

I've felt just fine today, though!

I just got done with a huge [livejournal.com profile] pokewifi trading spree, which is responsible for my lack of a proper entry. XD My Pokédex is getting bigger! Once I hatch all my eggs, I'll probably have about 240 Pokémon or something close to it.

Also, finally getting really excited about Fanime! I still have to finish my costume... I think that's going to happen Tuesday.

Anyway, I'm tired and I'm going to have the magpie waking me up at about 8-9 AM, so I'd better go to bed. ._.; I'll write a better entry tomorrow.

Okay, this has seriously been a terrible two weeks. Terrible. I swear the universe is conspiring against me at this very moment, because this is the worst possible time.

So, today I have to study for my HUGE BIOLOGY FINAL--which is tomorrow. I have hundreds of pages of very dense, complex material to memorize and organize and such, plus I missed a lab practical when the ambulance took me away last Friday, so I need to make that up, too.

Last night, I took what I thought was my Prednisone to help control the whole throat-getting-really-tight-and-making-me-go-to-the-ER thing. I took the four thought-to-be-Prednisone pills and went to bed a little later because I was really tired for what was an unknown reason at the time.

When I woke up in the morning at 6 AM, I felt like I had been hit by a truck. I could hardly stand up, hardly stay awake, started crying hysterically, and felt dizzier than I can describe. My whole body felt heavy, and I was (and still am, to a degree) basically a total mess.

I go check that medicine I took.

It turns out that Mom left Zanex or whatever the hell it's called in my room because the doctor wanted me to take one if my throat tightens up again (they seem to believe it's been caused by stress, even though I know for a fact it isn't because I wasn't stressed out, which I've told them a million times). And I took four pills of that instead.

Now, Zanex is a relaxant for panic attacks and such. You're supposed to take one or two. I took four. Luckily, it wasn't a dangerous dose (seriously, if I had taken a couple more who knows if I'd even be alive), but it's scary as hell and nearly impossible to study. So, the entire day I've been woozy, exhausted, sleeping on and off, feeling absolutely terrible, and at one point I even started falling asleep and I honestly, truly thought I was going to die because I literally couldn't move my body--at all--for some undetermined amount of time. I thought I was just dying right then and there. For reference, I'm not a paranoid person by any stretch of the imagination. I'm serious when I say this was scary. I can hardly even remember it now, though.

Studying has been extremely difficult. I'm doing my best. But, damn it, I am SO frustrated that this happened. The Zanex looked to me pretty much exactly like the Prednisone pills, and because Prednisone was the only medicine in my room previously, I didn't even think to check the label.

Gah, why? Seriously, why did this have to happen? I'm still totally woozy and messed-up and studying is nearly impossible in the state I'm in.

I can't understand for the life of me why anyone would voluntarily subject themselves to this stuff. This is why I'll never even drink any alcohol. More than anything in the world, I hate feeling like I can't control myself.

Well, today was good and bad. Mostly kind of depressing, though. :/

I struggled to fall asleep last night due to difficulty breathing and feeling sick. However, when I woke up, I felt just fine. So, I got ready and went off to school. I dropped off my library books, did some studying for the lab practical, and went to class.

After two hours of lecture, struggling to breathe and feeling absolutely awful, I dragged myself off to the health center and had them call an ambulance. I could hardly talk I was having so much trouble breathing. Somehow, by the time the ambulance came I was already feeling a little better, but I got on (stretcher and all) and went to the ER of a hospital in Roseville. Dad met me there. I felt just fine by the time we arrived at the hospital, so all the monitoring devices measured that I was normal. They took some x-rays of my neck (which revealed absolutely nothing), and I ended up sitting in the hospital bed for about four hours. I played a little Leaf Green, but the wait was mostly just boring and annoying.

Yet again, the doctors have no idea what this is or how to get rid of it, so I don't know what to do. :(

I missed the test, so I'm going to have to e-mail my professor about that, and I also have to catch up on math stuff, plus I have finals to study for... So everything's pretty unhappy at the moment.

I did get my DS today, though! It's lovely. Used, so slightly scratched up on the outside, but not bad at all. :D I can't wait to get Pokémon Diamond and Pearl!
