Aug. 12th, 2008 02:51 amI have a big scary auction ending in about three hours. Wish me luck!
People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. TOO LAZY! Continue this game by sending it to other people.
01. How has LJ changed your life?
It makes it easier for me to find and talk to people with a wide range of similar interests to me. It also makes it nearly impossible for me to leave the computer for long periods of time if it's readily available to me, because I check my f-list obsessively. I particularly love the fandom culture of LJ, which is unifying and fascinating and a little bit crazy (as fandom always is, a little!). I don't know, I love reading about peoples' lives--I don't think I'd have as close of friends on just any site. The f-list really makes LiveJournal for me.
02. What do you do before bedtime?
I usually brush my teeth, take the dogs outside one last time, cover the birds, and usually stay up on the computer in bed until I'm exhausted and then go to bed. Reluctantly.
03. What are you going to have for dinner tonight?
It's wayyyy past dinner time. I had a little bit of noodles stuffed with cheese, and...uhh, forgot about dinner otherwise. Tomorrow I'll have...well, we're probably going down to Roseville so I'll probably get something at Costco or the mall.
04. What is the ONE place you want to go before you die if you had the money and the time?
Ohhh, to Japan to go to a bunch of Yoko Kanno concerts, the Pokémon Center(s), and several anime studios. I know that's more than one place, but it's all in Japan! (And if I had a choice of just one, it would be a Yoko Kanno concert.)
05. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Definitely an introvert, but I have a lot of situations in which I'm extroverted as well.
06. What do you do in your free time?
Refresh my f-list, search the same things on Ebay over and over again, draw, write (or, more often than not, just think about writing), care for my pets, rehabilitate wildlife, use StumbleUpon, hang out with friends (occasionally), hang out with poultry (frequently).
07. Do you trust easily?
I'd say I do, though I'm not naive or gullible.
08. What personal belonging do you have with you everywhere you go?
My Wolf's Rain bag, which has such essentials as a camera, my Nintendo DS, several decks of anime-themed cards, my AX schedule (I don't know why it's still in there--I just haven't bothered to remove it), my medications, my cell phone, and a number of other things.
09. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Nothing too pressing, no. Just minor annoyances.
10. What do you want to do with your life?
Live happily, have a lot of fun and happiness, create art, and save as many animals as I possibly can.
11. Is being tagged fun?
Generally. It depends on the meme.
12. How do you see yourself?
That's a tough question. The way I see myself tends to change constantly, so defining myself in any one particular way is hard. I think I'm the sort of person who has a lot of passion for the things I care about...and not much energy for things I don't care about, haha. I believe I think about the world and humanity in a different way than most people do, even if it's not immediately apparent to other people.
13. If you could be anyone for one day, who would you be?
Hmmm, that's hard to say. Probably a Pokémon trainer of some sort. 8D It would be the BEST DAY EVER.
14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
She's a nice, enthusiastic person and quite a talented singer!
15. Would you rather be single & rich or married but poor?
Single and rich! I'm not a hugely romantic person who believes you have to be with someone to be happy. On the flip side, I'm not totally materialistic either--but if I was rich, I could more easily devote myself and my money towards noble causes and not have to worry about making ends meet all the time.
16. How many children do you want to have, if any?
I am absolutely 100% sure that I will not have any for a wide variety of reasons.
17. What's better, to give or to receive?
To give! Receiving is nice, too, but giving can potentially leave more of an impression... When you receive something, it tends to make you happy to a point, but with giving it feels like the happiness is boundless. When KK, Cody, and I gave a random guy at Fanime a birthday cake with a candle and everything and sang happy birthday for him, he was on the verge of tears because he was so happy, and he kept saying "Thank you so much, I'll never ever forget this, guys!" And every time I remember that it just makes me melt inside with happiness.
18. What's the one thing you would take with you to a deserted island?
Internets. <--I agree!
19. Would you have 100% safe sex with a stranger for £10,000,000?
I would say no, but that is a LOT of money and it could save a LOT of human and animal lives with minimal effort on my part. I think it would horribly selfish and immoral of me to deny all those lives that I could save with that money for my much more superficial personal moral code.
20. What were your parents going to name you if you'd been born the opposite gender?
I don't know.
