Dec. 23rd, 2009 09:02 pmHoney ate an entire package of gum, including the wrappers. .___. I got very lucky, and it just happened the type of gum I chose does not have Xylitol in it, which is toxic to dogs. That said, I'm trying to induce vomiting in her right now so it can't get stuck in her intestines, but so far no vomiting has occurred. :/
It's not a big deal--unless she does get an intestinal blockage, in which case it's surgery time--but it's still been stressful.
Well, now I know to lock up any gum I get somewhere where she absolutely can't get to it. :/ It was even on a chair (higher than she is) in a plastic bag, I'm not even sure how she got to it.
Disabling comments because I think there's an excellent chance she'll pass it and be just fine. ^^; Don't need a big uproar over it...
If you have dogs or are around dogs, be sure to check any gum you get to make sure it doesn't have Xylitol! It's deadly.
