Petty post, ignore it.
Dec. 16th, 2009 02:51 amI'm in such an irritated and ranty mood right now, and it's for very close to no reason. I keep getting stressed about packaging sales items because it's hard to keep everything straight with all the items around, and I kept making mistakes tonight. Good thing I'm taking a break from sales--it's a bad sign when simple things like shipping things out become stressful and upsetting even though it's really quite easy. I should relax, though--I didn't finish all my packaging, but I did finish all but three packages and customs forms. That won't take too long. I'm just giving myself a tough time tonight for some reason.
So, my art teacher is really sweet and likable. I get along with her very well. But there is one thing that drives me crazy about her!
In the beginning of the semester, she told us all to bring in few CDs of our favorite music and she would make a playlist of all of it for us to listen to. So I did and so did much of the rest of the class. I was looking forward to hearing everyone's music.
But the thing is, and I know I alone brought in at least a few hundred songs, she only seems to play the same twenty or thirty songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I know the rest of the songs are in there and easy to click (it's not like she doesn't know how to work the program), but it's like she'll play one or two other songs we haven't heard before and then go back to those few songs. They're all these kind of whiny-sounding and/or repetitive independent pop/rock types of songs, and while they're honestly not that bad, it just gets so tiresome hearing them constantly. I have ALL OF THEM MEMORIZED by now, word-for-word, and every time those same songs start to cycle again I just feel like groaning and slapping my head. I can't stand a lack of variety in music, and it annoys me that she seems to gravitate back to these same songs every single class instead of just shuffling the playlist and letting it play. :/ I get it that she probably likes these songs, but I wish we could just have equal play coverage for everyone's music.
Okay, rant over. Dumbest thing ever, seriously, but it's been bothering me. XD
Is there anything else to rant about? I don't even think so. Shows just how annoyed I am about totally petty little things. Maybe because it's almost 3 AM and I'm kind of tired. Just chill out, self. Neither of these things are even remotely worth stressing about.
I'm going to go make a more upbeat post now because I don't want to group my whining with better things.

Date: 2009-12-16 05:11 pm (UTC)I don't think it's all that dumb. It sounds really, really annoying. It's like turning on the TV knowing you have eight jillion channels and your parents insist on watching a repeat of an episode you've seen a dozen times already. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Ugh, seriously annoying. D=
