Today has been a bad day. :( I hardly slept last night because my cold decided to intensify on me last night quite a lot and I was worrying about the chicken coop... So today I woke up at 2 PM and was feeling so knocked-out with my cold that I've hardly left my bed all day.

Mom wasn't home most of the day and due to me being sick I didn't feel up to checking on the chickens... This is the first time in a very long time that I haven't checked on the chickens during the day, as I normally go out there at least three or four times a day. I figured it would be fine because mom would check on them when she got home in a few hours and nothing happens in there anyway. Well, mom got home much later than expected and went to check out the chicken coop and my beloved rooster Yamikarasu got caught in the fence and had been there for who knows how long. I disinfected his wounds and dried him off (he was wet, probably from being in the mud), but his spirit is definitely suffering... He normally resists any touch and screams bloody murder if you try to catch him, but now he's just peacefully sitting there. Not quite to the level of being in shock, but he's definitely not feeling so great. I set up a storage bin enclosure with a hot water bottle for him to sleep in in my room for the night. Poor guy... I feel so bad for him. I hope he recovers without any problems.

Also, this will probably sound bratty (though I don't mean it in that way), but there was a figure in someone's collection on pkmncollectors I was going to inquire about buying, but a) I thought it might be a bit rude to ask because she didn't say she was interested in selling it, and b) I lost the link when one of my Firefox windows crashed. Turns out today someone else asked about it and bought it... :( It's disappointing because it's extremely rare, who knows when it'll pop up again, and I could have had it SO easily if I had just taken few minutes to message the person. I'm not blaming the person who bought it at all or anything, but I just regret not buying it when I had the chance.

On top of that, my SMJ invoice totals have gone unexpected high (the shipping on one lot ended up being WAY more than expected) and of course my previous SMJ box still isn't here. D: STRESS.

Oh, and I still haven't done a single minute of homework all weekend.

Good job, self, good job.

Bad day. :(

I am excited for the Inauguration, though.

Thank you! I've just got a really annoying/unpleasant cold, so I'm more worried about him than I am myself, but I think he'll be all right as well even if it takes him a while to recover.

Haha, that's just one of those things about the community. It can be frustrating at times! This time it's literally been about a week since the original post, though, so I'm kicking myself for not taking advantage of the chance when I had it. WHY, SELF, WHY? D: You're right, though--things do pop up unexpectedly. Who knows--maybe I could get EXTREMELY lucky and it would be in my SMJ box! Okay, I sincerely doubt that, but there is the tiniest possibility ever. XD

SMJ can be a bit of a gamble at times... I'm really in debt with them right now, but it'll help a lot when I get my stuff in for sales. It's so nerve-wracking being in limbo, so to speak, where I don't have any money because my last box hasn't arrived and I owe them a bunch of money.

I think he will be. He's starting to perk up, which is a good sign, so now it's a matter of him putting weight on his leg.

I thought about asking that person about the figure you were wanting, since it would be something on my grail list as well, however I, like you felt like it'd be rude to inquire about something that wasn't for sale. =/
