Happy birthday, Sheska's babies!
Nov. 27th, 2005 07:05 pmI just realized that I really don't have much to say about Thanksgiving. :O We...uh...went down to Davis, and ate food and talked about animals and such. Not much else to say about that. Food was good--ate pretty much only biscuits because I'm just like that.
Cody's was fun the night before last. :) Nicole, KK, and I spent quite a long time just hanging around in his room doing nothing. We watched AMVs, were silly, wrestled, etc. I don't really remember much of what we did, actually. Eventually Nicole left because she had previous engagements, Thomas came over, and we went to the football game at school because Cody had to direct Men's Chorus singing. KK and I couldn't get into the game without buying tickets, so we spent quite a while attempting to sneak in. XD Unfortunately, the people who were running the game thoroughly fenced off everything, so even someone like myself who is extremely familiar with the campus couldn't find a way to sneak in. 'Twas tragical.
So we just sat on some stairs and watched from a distance. There was a thick, thick mist over NU, so the atmosphere was awesome. Luckily for KK and I, Cody and Thomas were done with their duties in about twenty minutes. From there, we went back to Cody's and ended up watching Gladiator (I got to cuddle the whole time, so I was beyond happy ^^), and it was an awesome movie. Beautiful use of color, and overall just a very well-told story. :O We were watching it until midnight, though.
KK and I intended to go to sleep in a timely manner after that, but we ended up having this hilarious conversation about how we could be the worst neighbors in history. XD 'Twas funny, and we ended up wishing we had written them down.
We woke up at about 9:30 AM-ish, but we were lying in bed much, much longer than that, even after Cody came and pounced on us several times. XD Then we got up and ate breakfast, in which KK and I had a "who can eat in a less messy manner" competition. She won, but that's 'cause she cheated. XD;; I'm normally a less messy eater, I swear by it!
The choir had a performance at a memorial service for a teacher at our school who died of cancer recently, so I went along (naturally, as I always do). I was hanging around for quite a while, but when I called Mom on KK's cell phone she told me we had to get to Harry Potter at 3 PM, so she came and picked me up. Tanner was with her. :/ I was under a big dilemma then because I had Cody's car keys and KK's cell phone, but the choir was up in the very front of the room that the service was taking place at, the service was underway, and I couldn't sneak up to the front without being seen to deliver these things to them. I left the items in charge of a woman who seemed to be overseeing the service and asked her to give them to Mr. Baggett.
I actually felt really bad that I had to leave without saying goodbye. ^^; I'm used to saying goodbye and giving everyone hugs when I leave, and I guess this is just such an ingrained instinct by now that leaving without it didn't seem right.
So, we saw Harry Potter. I ate all my candy before the movie even started. XD I loved it, by the way--I think it was the best of the movies so far, even missing the scenes that it was. 'Twas wonderful. ^_^ Not going to go into greater depth because Dad has 60 Minutes on in the background and I'm terribly distracted and having a hard time typing because of it. @_@
Watched anime that was on TV, took Tanner home, listened to music, etc... Not interesting. Slept. Woke up to Ryan telling me that Sheska had her babies. Became excited. Got up and went and saw them.
Awww, they're so cute! One of them is pure white with smooth hair, and the other is brown with messy hair. ^_^ Compared to how big the other one is now, they look really small and frail. ^^;
Um...basically all we did for the rest of the day was look at houses. The first one we looked at was awful... Mom was all excited because it had a nice two acres, but the house was really small and tacky and it had all these sheds and a mobile house and it was fugly. It would take tons of work to get it to a non-ugly state. @_@
The second house we saw was perfect. Seriously. Like, we walked in and exclaimed that Mom should buy it right then. Mom actually went and wrote an offer tonight, so I'm hoping it goes through and we end up getting it. *Crosses fingers*
The third house was really, really, really meh. It was practically nothing, it was yucky, and it smelled of cat. ._.; The only cool thing was that the lady had this really cool fish. XD We kept joking that we should offer to buy the fish.
I don't feel like writing in much detail today. I have stuff I should be doing, especially seeing as I thought it was Saturday today when I woke up, and only realized it was Sunday at about noon. I was going to do an anime meme, too, but I probably shouldn't. I have a bunch of stuff I should be doing.
