Back to Chemistry tomorrow. It will be terribly unpleasant and I imagine I will complain about it a lot, but I do feel like perhaps some small amount of my motivation is returning to me... Maybe. We'll see if that holds up when I actually have homework I need to do, haha. As for my other classes, I'm currently signed up for Ornithology and I will attempt to not interject with bird rehab stories at EVERY SINGLE BIRD SPECIES I'VE EVER RAISED and I'm trying to get into Introduction to Digital Art and Creative Writing. What? If I'm going to take Chemistry I might as well surround myself with otherwise pleasant things, right? Plus I'm beginning to run out of classes I need to take. Let's see... Two semesters of Organic Chemistry, another semester of Calculus, two semesters of Physics, plus some things that I can only take after graduation/when I'm at UC Davis. In other words, mostly just ugly, icky stuff. I think I may have some general ed classes to take as well, but to be honest I'm not sure what those are yet.

Didn't get time to write about San Francisco/SacAnime yet but I'll do that either tomorrow or Tuesday~ I do definitely want to do that.

You already know I did, but thanks again! I'll be posting a collection update once I receive a couple more BIG packages!

I am not a big fan of Chemistry at all. D: It's just part of the unfortunately difficult path to becoming a vet, and part of being a Science major... I'm already halfway through General Chemistry anyway, though, so at least that's comforting.

good luck with chem! yeah these requirements are really kinda hellish to go through, so definitely pack some fun classes along with them! For all I know general ed classes are different for each college but they mostly involve some sort of writing intensive classes and liberal arts/social science classes. Popular choices have been psychology, anthropology, history classes and whatnot.

Thank you! Yes, I don't enjoy these math-based sciences at all... But I just have to slog through them and work hard. I'm pretty determined to reach my goal, so at least I have something pushing me forward.

I think I've done most of my general ed already (I've taken several English and Psychology classes, and art classes and computer classes and so on...) but I think I still have to take a few things. Like Speech. :/

Oh man, orinthology. That sounds so awesome. I'm really sad because at NYU, a lot of the higher-level bio classes are out of my reach. D:. I almost went into biochemistry instead of film so it's really hard for me to give up on something I really, really love. If I wanted to take them, I'd have to start at INTRO TO BIOLOGY I again, which. I already took about three years ago. D:.

I'm glad you had fun at the con!

Yes, I love ornithology! Unfortunately I can't take it this semester after all, but I'm sure I'll take it at some point. I'm hoping to becom an avian vet, so it would be kind of strange to be working on birds in my veterinary career without ever having taken ornithology.

I love Biology classes, too, so I understand that feeling! It's too bad you can't exactly double-major in film and something biological. But, hey, film is an awesome major so don't feel about it. I'll bet you have a better time in your classes than I do in mine!

I love biological sciences generally (okay, anything relating to animals, haha), but Chemistry is the bane of my existence. Not only is it math-based, it's so complex and just hard work all around! I'll bet I only use about 2% what I learn in it during vet school, and close to none of it during my career, too. :/

Indeed! The creative classes are helping me keep my energy up.
