I'm officially done with the winter semester! It's a huge relief that it's over with, I must say, and I'm looking forward to getting to do fun things and have a social life over the break. :D I want to spend less time on the computer this break and spend more time going out and doing things instead of just hanging around the house doing internet things all the time. We're going out to Cornish Christmas (fair downtown that's every Friday) tonight. Other things I'm hoping to do include birdwatching (I particularly want to see a Sandhill Crane), getting my license, getting on a better sleep schedule, marathoning anime with friends, drawing, writing, going to Anime LA, and working on some creative projects.

Finals went okay. I studied almost all night for my Botany final and as a result the lecture exam went pretty well. The lab exam was a high C, so it certainly could have been better, but that's because I had absolutely no time to study for it. I think I got a B in the class. I don't like Bs and try to avoid them when I can, but Botany was way more complex then I was expecting it to be. The tests were difficult, and it didn't help that my motivation level has been so bad this last semester.

I'm somewhat annoyed at money-related things that keep happening. :/ I just want to pay for this one thing with the money from something I sold on Ebay--it should NOT be this complicated! But of course, the person couldn't get their Paypal account together and they sent a money order today when I said I needed the money by yesterday, and once I have the money order I don't know what I'm going to do because I need the money on Paypal right now. And I don't have a bank account at the moment, which makes this even more complicated. WOE. I've got to figure something out, because I feel really bad that I haven't paid for my items yet as a result of this mess. ;___;

Anyway, that's all for now. RL friends, give me a call or an e-mail or something if you want to do stuff! I'm up for just about anything.

Congrats on being finished with finals. I keep seeing this entries pop up on my LJ so it's making me get in the holiday spirit even though I am done with school. :)

Yay! Finals are finally over :D Congrats on finishing them! It's great to be free of exams... and I hope you're feeling generally more motivated now :D

BTW, my brother tentatively reserved seats for a flight to California - arrives at San Francisco at 8:50 PM on Thursday, Jan 8, and leaves at 4:45 PM on Monday, Jan 12. So that leaves the whole of Friday, Saturday and Sunday :D I hope you don't have anything on in between those dates!

Thank you! It is really nice to be done, and I'm feeling quite a bit better and more energetic for now. Of course we'll see if I still feel that way when Chemistry comes around again, but at least until then I can have a good time.

Ohhh awesome! Yayyy! ♥ I'll definitely be seeing you there, then, and perhaps we can even spend some time on more than one day seeing as I have friends I can stay with down there. :) Let's do some Japan Town wanderings and go out for some (reasonably cheap) dinner and talk endlessly!

Haha, ironic...I'm also planning on marathoning anime, but alone, and just being antisocial in general. I mean, I still want to see my friends, of course, but I'm looking forward to sitting in my room, reading, and watching stuff.

And I can definitely understand how you'd need some alone time after all that time in the dorms. I would probably be saying the same thing if I saw as much of my friends as you do! What are you planning on watching?

I am in the process of Toradora and Sketchbook, so I really need to finish/catch up with those. I am torrenting Kara no Kyoukai, Mnemosyne, and Bokurano as well. I'd also like to work on some Spiral and Mushishi, the later depending on what's available on streaming sites. Of course, I probably won't get all of that done, but three weeks is a long time...

And it's not so much taking a break from my people here, but more than if I can't be with them, I don't want anyone, at least not a lot. Closed-minded, I know.

Oooh, good luck! Quite a list, there. I saw all of Bokurano and was fairly ambivalent about it. I liked the first several episodes, LOVED the middle, and then the last third or so of the series I didn't like all that much. I've heard the manga is great, though, so I have that and plan on reading it sometime.

Mushishi is absolutely incredible. ♥ I don't know about watching it on streaming sites. It's so beautiful and enchanting that the better quality you can watch it in, the better, IMO.

Yeah, Bokurano is probably lowest on the list right now. It's >2% downloaded, though, and world knows how fast it will go in Cleveland. I'm mainly downloading it now so that I can offer it to my anime club as one of our series next semester.

I usually don't like streaming sites as much, but I've been using them for their convenience lately. I own only the first 4 episodes of Mushishi, so I don't have much of a choice unless I want to scrounge up some money. ^^;
