Sorry to be all crazy about a fandom most of you haven't even heard of again, but... I am such a geek. :'D In my Mysterious Ways files, I decided to just take a peek ahead and watch the ending of my favorite episode, which contains my favorite scene in the series (this scene almost always makes me tear up a little). To my great dismay, it turns out the torrent contained the Canadian broadcast version, which changed the insert song to something much, much less powerful. D: NOT HAPPY. The US version of the episode is absolutely nowhere to be found. :( I have the episode on tape somewhere, US broadcast with the correct music, but now it's just a matter of finding the episode amidst my dozens of poorly labeled VHS tapes. Working on that right now, and have been for several hours. Once I do find it, I'm going to have it converted to a digital file by a company for $7 so I can burn it to DVD.

This is a lot of work for five minutes of insert song, buuuut...it'll be worth it, at least in my opinion. Now I just have to cross my fingers that I still have the episode somewhere on these hours and hours and hours of tapes. I don't see why I wouldn't, but I can't help but be nervous anyway.

Man, I wish I had people to fangirl this series with. :(

Would write more but all this fast forwarding through tapes is giving me a headache. @___@ Still working on replying to comments on the last entry. Thanks for all your thoughts, advice, and encouragement, f-list! ♥

EDIT: Woo, go Dennou Coil--winning yet ANOTHER award! :D http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-12-02/denno-coil-wins-award-from-japanese-sci-fi-writers

wow didn't know there was a novel for Dennou Coil. ANN says, "The Dennō Coil anime series adapted Yūko Miyamura's novel of the same name." But I thought the series was planned by Iso a decade prior its production? I'm rather confused....I would want to say the anime comes first though although the novel was published a month earlier or something....it's like Eva. The manga was published several months before the lauch of the anime to see if it has the potential to be well-received, then the anime was lauched.

They corrected that article later, I'm pretty sure. The novel was created along with the anime, but the anime came first. I'm not totally clear on the details, but I'm pretty sure the anime was first either way.
