Sep. 24th, 2008 01:35 pmOf course, now that I say I'm on semi-hiatus I want to write more. >__> So I might as well. Bulleted for your convenience!
- Possibly leaving for YaoiCon tomorrow evening, depending on if I can crash with Nicole and Aubrey tomorrow night. (I'm calling them a bit later about it.) :D Quite excited and looking forward to seeing the awesome few of you who will be there. I hope it's as amazing and hilarious as it was last year!
- I forgot to write about it, but the day I left for Tahoe I found my chicken The Other Other One dead. :( She was one of the three remaining hens from the first chicks that our chickens ever hatched--the daughters of Pidgeotto and Dovey. She was around nine years old, so she wasn't young (not really really old for her type of chicken either, though), but I'm not sure why she died... She seemed fine last I had seen her. Anyway, RIP Other Other One. She was a sweetheart, and I'll miss her.
- We're getting a cat today! :O I haven't met her yet, but she'll be our outdoor rat huntress. According to my mom, she's very sweet and likes people but has lived outside for her entire seven years of life so there's no way she could easily adjust to being an indoor pet cat. Her current name is Bob, but...WTF, why would you name your female cat Bob? (I suppose whatever it is that possessed our female dog Tia's former owners to name her T-Bone.) She'll definitely get a better name once I get to know her.
- My sleeping schedule in the last day has been so bizarre. I went to bed at 1 AM and slept until 6 AM, went to class and got home around 4 PM, went back to bed, slept from 4 PM until 9:30 PM, woke up until 2 AM, and went back to bed until 11 AM.
- Still so behind on homework. :( Need to e-mail my Physics teacher about it.

Date: 2008-09-24 09:52 pm (UTC)Yay! Kitty! Well, almost mature cat I should say. "Bob" is about the same age as our two older kitties then. They're seven years and three months. Can't wait to see the sweetie and hear what you name her. But, yeah, Bob :D Not as bad as my brother always trying to get me to call my gerbils and rats "Dog".

Date: 2008-09-24 10:25 pm (UTC)Older kitties are love as well as young ones. ♥ My other two kitties are fourteen and nine, so she'll be the whipper-snapper of the bunch, haha. I'll definitely take pictures of her at some point and unless the perfect name just appears out of nowhere I may do a name suggestion post. :D
Dog? LOL, okay then. XD My brother has an obsession with wanting to name all of his pets Leandro...especially the female ones. I keep vetoing this suggestion because I always end up taking care of his pets anyway and just...no.

Date: 2008-09-24 10:52 pm (UTC)Sorry about The Other Other One (now THAT is a name). :( Nine years--wow, that seems old to me for a chicken. How long do they normally live, then?

Date: 2008-09-24 10:58 pm (UTC)Yes, she got her name (along with her sister The Other One) because both of them kept getting their names changed. So they became The Other One and The Other One. I'm not adverse to giving chickens silly names, haha. Large breeds of chickens only live around seven years usually (aside from the meat breeds, who would die within a year if not slaughtered due to their genetics), and small chicken breeds can live to be anywhere from nine to fourteen depending on breed.

Date: 2008-09-26 04:33 am (UTC)Oh yeah, do you have any idea what's going on with Narcissu 2nd side other than what's on Haeleth? It seems like it should be out by now, and DO WANT. SO MUCH.
reply in bullet style!
Date: 2008-09-27 04:41 am (UTC)- :( I offer my condolences. But the name The Other Other One is just awesome.
- Name her Bebop! Haha sorry the name Bob just reminded me of that series for some reason. A sweet kick-ass cat....errr Mew? Or you can name her HunterxHunter cuz she's a huntress....just kidding, well I prefer Bob in this respect.
- at least you're getting up in the AMs. I sometimes get up in the PMs even it's a school day...irregular sleeping schedule tends to mess up your eating schedule though.
yes back to work!
