So...

I went to bed at 4 AM, and then got up at 5:30 AM to bid on the auction.

And first I was a bit disappointed because apparently someone else from SMJ was bidding on it and had gotten it quite a bit higher than it was earlier. :/ Another community member? But I bid, though my max bid was a bit higher than I was hoping it would be.

I won it...for my max bid! Seriously, EXACTLY TO THE YEN my max bid. If someone else had bid at the last second there would have been no salvation. But it all worked out, and I will have a big Lottomin fairly soon. :D Now I just have to hope the winning bidders reply and pay in a timely manner so I'll be all ready when the invoice comes.

Now I just have the two zukan auction to watch out for. I'm not convinced we'll win those because those could very, very easily skyrocket, but we'll see! I'm hoping. :D They both end at around 4 AM on Tuesday, so I'll be up again at frightening hours attempting to win them for the community.

Today was pretty uneventful otherwise. I spent most of it watching Law & Order with my dad while hugging my life-sized Pikachu plush and nearly falling asleep on the couch. I did some driving, which went sort of okay, and that's about it really.

It's amazing how fast these summer days rush by... It's like by the time I'm up and everything it's 4 PM and then the next thing I know it's 3 AM. It's weird. I'm not really looking forward to going back to school in eight days, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I'm on call on Monday and Tuesday for Wildlife Rehab and Release (though I can't really take anything in this close to school), but after that I think I need to try and arrange something fun with friends as a goodbye to summer.

My friends and I can be pretty lazy about communication, so at least when I'm back in school I'll hopefully get to see them a bit more. I hope that's the case, anyway.

EDIT: Also, this: http://community.livejournal.com/hypnochat_ftw/2633.html is freaking LEGENDARY AND AMAZING, no matter how shady and evil FMR is. regen did an incredible job portraying FMR's immoral lifestyle.

Awww, thanks! I'll definitely be at Y-con and we'll have to hang out a whole bunch like we did last year. At bigger conventions I tend to rush around like crazy, but when it comes to smaller conventions I love just hanging around with awesome people like yourself. ♥

Also, while you're around, how much did you pay for the EMS shipping to the US on your LottoMin? My lot is quite a bit smaller than yours, but I'm curious if you don't mind telling me.

I believe it was around $75-80 from SMJ. It was a bit 'ouch,' but I was glad to get the lot so quickly.

Oh, that's just fine then! As long as it's not over, say, $100 I think I'll be fine. (Even if it did go over, I can figure something out.) It shouldn't be more than that, though, based off what I've heard so far.
