Welcome, people from pkmncollectors friending meme! I knew most of you already from chat/around the community, but it's nice to be actual LJ friends now! ♥

(And I know I said I wouldn't do another friending meme again, but to my credit I have passed twenty or so of them without participating. It just happens that pkmncollectors is my favorite community EVER and is filled with the most crazy awesome people.)

Anyway. More about that auction that everyone has heard about at least nine thousand times now. I am sort of debating staying up to watch it end instead of setting an alarm clock. However, I think this is a very unwise decision as the auction ends at 6 AM, so I'll probably just go to bed anyway. BUT WILL I BE ABLE TO SLEEP?

Also, I have the most irrational fear now (re: the auctions, again). That is...watching it end, thinking I've won it, and realizing I never bid. Okay, okay, I'm not that stupid, but...you know? I can be stupid sometimes. (And centimetre, if you happen to read this, this isn't Ebay so Gixen is missing in action. XD)

I just created a large pyramid of my big Pokémon plush that I have no place for in my room because they're big and there's no literally not a single piece of non-floor surface area that can accommodate even one of them. I still need to find my camera cord, otherwise I'd take a picture!

At least Macross Frontier 19 is downloading, so that and the accompanying AnimeSuki threads will keep me entertained for a while. I've just about given up on reading the AnimeSuki threads because the Sheryl fanboyism rampant in every thread is almost disturbing (and I don't dislike the character). This is coming from a fangirl. We are supposed to be experts in character obsession. We have NOTHING on these fanboys.

Macross Frontier is like a space soap opera for me, haha. I know it's kind of ridiculous and silly and I shouldn't be so sucked into it, but I just can't help myself. ;__; It has Yoko Kanno music though!

Also, I've been on the computer so much the last few days that I'm worried about my eyes and my general health. Once all these auctions end, I need to go find some of my RL friends to hang out with just for a break from constant computer-ing. @__@

Oh, and I started Terra E.../Toward the Terra today! I'll try to write about it tomorrow.

Oh god, Macross F 19 was just a disaster in a certain way. Basically telling the fanbois to go fight with each other or something lol.

I just feel so sorry for everyone already. SERIOUSLY. It's such a silly, silly show but I can't stop watching it really...

There's no difference in fangirls and fanboys when it comes to competing in maximum levels of obsessiveness - it's just that fangirls tend to do it more regularly I think. Particularly when it comes to finding relationships when there aren't any clear ones ;)

It was indeed! I think Kawamori is doing this series as some sort of evil experiment on how violent he can make the shipping factions before they cause physical war with one another.

I know, I could never stop watching it. But like I said, I'm still having a lot of fun with it, so whatever. It can get as dumb as it wants and I'll still be watching it and probably enjoying it to some degree.

That is true. It's just that in this case, I think the [AnimeSuki] fanboys are crazier because it's the choice between two women, and they all have their preference of who THEY'D choose. (If it was the other way around, like Kawamori originally was going to do, I think the fanboys would be a little quieter while the fangirls would be shrieking at each other. Or perhaps if it was three guys...and, well, you can see where that's going.) I haven't been following Macross F fandom outside of AnimeSuki, so that's just what I've observed there. There are certainly a few females in there as well, though. It's just insanity. XD Watching the discussions is such a trainwreck.

I still need to watch Macross 19 but I heard it goes back to the love triangle so I will probably roll my eyes while watching it most of the time and wonder why these girls are so obsessed with Alto. :)

Yes! I'll be watching the next two episodes tomorrow most likely (because I only have the first eight), so I'll try and post about it then.

It did indeed go back to the love triangle. I don't get their obsessions with Alto either (I think he's possibly the least interesting character in the series), but I'm sill sucked in. XD

I've been on LJ for a long time and this was the first friending meme I've ever felt like was worthy enough of my presence. *preens* XD Actually, because it's the first community I've been a part of that hasn't been completely overrun with fanbrat weeaboos.

I've done others before and made some great friends, but I must say--pkmncollectors is my favorite community ever without a doubt. Almost everyone in the community is friendly and helpful and interesting and knowledgeable.

Usually when I join LJ communities it's just to watch things and maybe discuss a little, but with pkmncollectors I feel like a real part of the community. It's great. :D
