Darn--I never wrote about yesterday. Oh well. We'll see if I'm more inclined to do so tomorrow. If not, um. Too bad.

I got my birds back today, plus two more! I thought they were all sparrows initially, but on further inspection it appears they're actually three different species. I think two or three are sparrows, two or three are...something, and one is a mystery bird. It's actually a lot of fun raising mystery birds because it's funny to see what they turn out to be and how quickly you can figure out what they are. Tomorrow when I have my Stokes bird guide again I'm going to start trying to figure out what the lone one is--he has most of his feathers in, so he'll be easier than the others, who have very few feathers so far. He makes a really strange noise, too--like rattling? Or buzzing? He's an insectivore of some sort (pointed beak), gray on top, spotted belly. He almost looks like a baby mockingbird in color, but he's sparrow-sized.

Watched Kure-nai and Macross Frontier (both episode 9) today. Macross Frontier wasn't anything super-special this week (I admit I was distracted, though, because the file kept skipping and I was more concerned with getting it to stop skipping than actually paying attention), but man... This episode of Kure-nai was really, really good. I think I like it just as much as Macross Frontier now, though they're utterly different types of series. Anyway, that Kure-nai episode was very emotional. I got a tiny, tiny bit misty-eyed during one scene even. It's interesting how much the series is about the roles of women in society, too--I wasn't expecting that at all when I got into the series, but it's cool how they have all these female characters in utterly different roles with different outlooks and relationships to one another. It's an interesting theme for a series of this nature to take on.

Still need to start Kaiba and finish more Kaiji. I'm really looking forward to Terra E, too, though I have to actually make room on my hard drive to download it first. >__> Man, and I still have tons of other things to watch. I'm waiting for KK to have time so we can finish Princess Tutu, I need to watch Mononoke and Baccano!, actually catch up on Vinland Saga, watch more Kare Kano, Turn A Gundam at some point... Also, must see Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. The list is even longer, but I'm not going to bother you all with my prattling about nothing.

Tomorrow is going to be busy! I'm doing a big huge sales post on [livejournal.com profile] pkmncollectors tomorrow evening, so I'm going to be responding to comments, arranging payments, and starting to package things up. I just got this huge box of one hundred bubble mailers ($30 for all of these--quite a deal!), so I don't think I'm ever going to have to buy another bubble mailer unless it's something that won't fit (even then--that's what boxes are for). XD I feel like my room is a small business! Hopefully I'll be able to raise enough for Anime Expo... I already have some things plotted to raise even more money, though they require an initial investment, too. >3

I'm such an entrepreneur, haha. Next thing you know, you'll be seeing me on the cover of Time magazine talking about how I made millions selling Pokémon plush. XD This is totally plausible, f-list. You just don't know it.

I think that's all for now. I've felt really happy and energetic all day. :D

Kare Kano remains one of my favourite anime series ever, even if the series ended less than half-way through the manga. The manga is just as amazing, and I would love to see more of it animated (no chance sadly :() as I probably prefer the stuff later on as we delve into the truth about Arima's parents.

Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo... So in love with that film at the moment. It is utterly touching as well as hilarious. I know you'll adore it.

Oooh, good to know! I've been enjoying it so far, so hopefully I'll like the rest of it, too. It's too bad they never did animate the rest of the manga... I should have asked GAINAX about it when I was hanging out with them, haha.

I'm quite sure I will, too. I was waiting for it to be released on DVD, but I don't really want to wait that long now that there's a release date. :/ So I'll just go find a nice, high-quality sub of it, I think.

Yeah, I downloaded it as well but as soon it comes out on DVD (not sure of we have a release date for over here yet) I'll be getting it anyway as I'm sure I'll watch it any number of times, especially if it comes with a good dub. Same as I did with Tekkon Kinkreet.

If you are watching Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, Terra e and Princess Tutu you have a lot of things to look forward to. They are all great. :)

Yeah Kure-nai certainly took an interesting turn. Murusaki's family is messed up and I think that is putting it lightly.

I've heard so much about all three! I'm on episode fifteen of Princess Tutu, and I really really enjoy it so far. I'm just waiting for my friend to give me a call when she has time so we can finish it together.

It really did! Murasaki's family is really messed-up. :/ I can't wait to see Shinkurou get her back from them.

Oh man, episode 9 of Kure-nai made me rage. RAAAAGGGEE. Not that it was bad, I just realized how emotionally invested in the characters I was. Ohhhh, I can't wait until episode 10!!

I'm curious to see what this mystery bird turns out to be!

Argh, I totally agree. I didn't even think I was that emotionally invested in the characters until I watched that episode! Then I realized I really am attached to them. :'( I can't wait until episode 10, either!

Haha, I'll post a picture of him soon. He's really really cute and hilarious.

Damn I should really continue Kurenai (it was on my list for Spring 2008 anime, but I guess I got distracted from the first three episodes and went to watch Nijuu Mensou no Musume instead). All the positive reviews around it make me want to watch it again.

And yes TokiKake is a must-see. It gave me a tiny bit of Evangelion feel because of Sadamoto Yoshiyuki's character design. Also, the character's interactions are great. In fact, the first few episodes of Toshokan Sensou reminded me of TokiKake.

Do it! Kure-nai has gotten quite good. It's not the most exciting series ever, but it does a great job with its characters and is overall an excellent series. I think I'm enjoying it about as much as I am Macross Frontier by now, which saying a lot.

Everyone keeps telling me how amazing it is, so I think I'll go download it right now and watch it when it finishes downloading. :D The only reason I haven't seen it yet is because I was going to wait for the DVD release, but now that I know that's pretty far away, I don't think I want to wait that long. I feel even more obligation to see it because of Sadamoto's designs--I just met him and got his autograph eleven days ago, so that makes it more exciting!

omg, I'm so envious! Didn't know he was in Fanime! Ok I just checked ANN and it turned out he did key animation for episode 27 of Gurren Lagann.

Yes, he was there! I think they were being quiet about him being there, as they announced him at Opening Ceremonies but nowhere else, and then I heard from a few people that we weren't supposed to take pictures of him or get autographs, and then people were saying he wasn't at the Meet and Greet. But I was running to get my Boota costume in the corner of the Meet and Greet room, and he was standing right next to (for a second I wasn't sure who it was, then I realized and was like "OMFG!"). I asked him politely and he gladly gave me an autograph, a quick doodle, and let me get pictures of him. So, yeah.

Wow, I didn't even know that! How awesome! :D Even more reason to be impressed by him! ♥
