Hahaha, I had a weird dream about Yoko Kanno. XD

So, for some unknown reason, I flew over to Japan and decided to stay at Yoko Kanno's house. It wasn't as though I had planned this at all or anything, I just showed up, invited myself in, and that was that. In fact, she seemed to note my presence with little or no surprise, and she just accepted it outright.

Except that Yoko Kanno and everything around her was...not as it should be. She didn't look like herself at all--she was kind of ugly, really, and she was living in a trailer with quite a bit of random anime stuff (especially Pokémon and Naruto stuff, and for a moment in the dream I confused her with Ikue Ootani), but not even a piano. She was living with...her mother? Or some elderly woman who was kind of bitter and didn't really talk to me much. Everything was rather cluttered and tacky, and it was a small trailer. Yoko Kanno was under the impression that I was an exchange student that she had signed up to host, though I never said any such thing, and she spoke pretty much perfect English.

For some reason, she and the elderly woman would go sit in an orange truck outside of the house, sometimes for hours on end. Just sitting out there. Sometimes they'd talk to other people in the truck, sometimes they'd just be sitting there by themselves. I haven't the faintest idea why. When I asked, she just gave me a quirky smile and said it was what she liked to do. I wondered if she composed her music out there, though this doesn't make sense.

She had a long-haired orange cat (LOL, probably because of reading your post right before bed, [livejournal.com profile] sammywhatammy) and a playful gray tabby kitten that were always around being affectionate and causing mischief.

There was this really magical "scene" in it, though, where we (meaning YK, the older woman, and myself) went outside and were swinging on a swing while the fireflies surrounded us and we all hummed a song that was beautiful enough that I was sure she was going to use it in a later composition. The temperature was so perfect, and it was beautiful out.

At one point, I was wandering around in her house and I found a document on her...desk, I guess it was, that said that Yoko Kanno wasn't her real name. I could NOT figure out how to pronounce or even remember her family name for the life of me, though--it was weird. XD Later I asked her what had happened to Hajime Mizuguchi, and she said they had gotten divorced and she was very sad and angry about it. She said that was why she looked older than she was.

Randomly, my mom joined me at her house, and then later in the dream Daniell and...Zoe, I think? So we were all staying there, I guess. There was another cool scene concerning music, but I can't remember what it was now.

As I was in the house (and YK might have been there, or she might have been in the truck again), I noticed three pretty, light brown birds sitting in the house. They looked like hermit thrush. I took each of them without too much struggle and let them go in the backyard, though I was afraid the cats would get them, as the cats were in the backyard also.

Darn, that's all I can remember, though there was more to it than that. It was...weird, haha.

Anyway, I have a Zoology test today that I haven't studied for, and I have to feed the chickens and take a shower. I'll have to write about yesterday tonight or possibly tomorrow (because I have a big essay to write tonight).
