EL. OH. EL.
Apr. 17th, 2008 11:50 pmI am SUCH A GEEK. It's amazing. Case in point:
I had a dream last night that Nicole and I went to an animal shelter, which also seemed (oddly enough) to be a thrift store at the same time. We just referred to it as an animal shelter, though. There, I adopted a random dog for no apparent reason, and also a hamster and a mouse. The mouse was really pretty--its fur was a mix of gray and beige hair and it was beautiful.
However, the thing I was most excited about was the Mew plushie I found there. It was the Mew plushie that is the #1 thing on my Pokémon wishlist at the moment--life-sized, talking Mew plush. I was SO EXCITED when I found it. It turned out there were other Pokémon plush, there, too, which was apparent when Nicole showed me a big pile of them in her car when we were bringing our new animals out to the car.
I woke up feeling as though the animals and Mew plush I had gotten were sort of...melting, or fading, perhaps, out of my hands. My last thoughts as I regained consciousness were something to the effect of, "Darn it--it was a dream, wasn't it? I need to find that Mew plush."
TODAY. TODAY OF ALL DAYS,
lineaalba LISTS THAT VERY MEW PLUSH ON EBAY. :O And, as a note, the last time I saw this Mew plush for sale on Ebay (or anywhere besides Y!J, for that matter) was...last September, I think? It was quite a while ago--it's not like this is something that just happens all the time.
It's expensive. I really shouldn't even be thinking about buying it.
But, f-list, I think I got a sign fromYoko Kanno The Salula 528 (which DID appear today--making it an even holier day) Haruhi some sort of divinity.
THAT I NEED TO BUY AN EXPENSIVE POKEMON PLUSH.
Oh man, I think I've reached a new high on the geekiness scale. :')
Suffice to say, I'm seriously considering buying the Mew plush (assuming bidders don't drive the price up much, and nobody does the Buy It Now option), even if it means I have less to spend at Fanime and Anime Expo. We'll see. I have a lot of thinking to do.
lineaalba decided not to sell it, so I'm going to look for it elsewhere. :)
YOU CAN ALL LAUGH AT ME NOW.

A life-sized Mew plush? I'm not really much of a Mew fan, but that... that just rocks. XD

Date: 2008-04-18 10:05 am (UTC)I just couldn't part with it. It has great sentimental value to me. I've just been in that, 'Gotta sell almost everything!' mood lately, which has led to me putting some things up for sale, then ending them and stupidly wasting my money.
However, I do have a solution.
ToysnJoys (where I got my Mew from), still has the doll for sale, brand new:

Just scroll down a bit. They're in Hawaii, so shipping might be a bit.
People complain about them, but personally I've had NO problems with them - they're just slow. ^^:

Date: 2008-04-18 06:46 pm (UTC)Thanks for the advice! I e-mailed them about it to make absolutely sure it's in stock, so hopefully I'll hear back from them soon.
*Hugs* I hope things go better for you soon.
