Hm, fairly uneventful weekend mostly.

Thankfully, I did finally get at least a base going for the Wonderflex Densuke head. It's HUGE! If I pull it all the way down, it goes over my shoulders (I haven't put a bottom part of it on yet). It's definitely lopsided and is really, really basic right now, but I'm convinced I just finished the hardest part of building the costume--getting down the basic essentials. Figuring out where to start when you have Wonderflex and you need to make a huge cylinder? Not fun. I'll work out some of the details and smooth out the problems with it next weekend, probably.

Also, I'm all reobsessed with The Office (US version). Apparently, so are dad and Ryan. :3 Every time nothing is going on, Ryan goes "Let's watch The Office! I want to watch The Office!" This is a pretty big development for him, as for most of the years dad and I have been into it, Ryan hasn't really gotten the humor. Now he's clamoring to watch it. I've been rewatching a bunch of older episodes, and now I'm reading Wikipedia articles on the characters for no apparent reason. Other than Mysterious Ways, which was cancelled ages ago (and I still miss it, omg, and you can't even find it on the internet. No DVD release, no VHS release, nothing. ;__; Good thing I have about half of the episodes taped), it's the only live action series I feel a huge attachment to and have fandom-y feelings about. ♥ So much love.

Oh man, Ebay is killing my money situation at the moment. >__> For some reason, all of the sudden about half of my Pokémon collection wishlist has surfaced on Ebay (ending within days of each other). D: D: D: Thankfully, several of the things I'm hopefully buying come in lots, so I think I'll be able to sell off remainders of the lots and make back at least most of the money I spent. I also culled my collection a bit today, so that might help a little. Still, more than a bit worried about money at the moment. I'm going to have to have a GIANT sales post to make up for my awful spending habits.

Otherwise, I may be forced to sell my soul. Or body. Or something.

Looking forward to the tablet arriving. :D I only hope I'll have time to play with it when it comes.

So little motivation to do homework right now. .__.; I want to watch The Office instead. I'm getting really sick of this semester and having to wake up early and having to do math homework.

I wanted to do something fun and social this weekend, but alas, it seemed almost everyone was busy. Next weekend is the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival (with the cosplay parade), so I'm hopefully/most likely going to go down to that and have fun.

I wish I was at Fanime right now. I'm in that super-geeky, happy, social mood where anime conventions sound like The Absolute Best Thing That Could Ever Happen.

Still no room for Fanime. :( Urgh. I will get one, though, just you watch!

And beware of tablets! Once you use 'em, you never go back to the touchpad on your laptop xD; I use mine like a mouse. I HATE touchpads.

Ha! Thanks for the warning. :D My tablet's going to be nice 'n' small, so maybe I'll start toting it around in my computer bag so I no longer have to use the touchpad.

Office is the one sitcoms I really want to watch but I never seem to catch it. I mean I know when it is on but I don't ever feel like watching TV at that time. Then again now adays I mainly watch DVDs and not TV anyways.

You should rent the DVDs sometime! I highly recommend starting at the very beginning of the series and watching it in chronological order--there are a lot of nuances and subtleties that you miss if you watch it out of order. :D It's a really special comedy series, IMO--it's hilarious and well-written and brilliantly acted, but it also has this really sweet, emotional, wonderful undercurrent throughout all of it. ♥ I hope you do get a chance to see all of it at some point. I highly recommend it.

Thanks so much for the offer! That's really sweet of you. I will have other people with me, though, and I think I'm already weaseling slowly into a Hilton room (we have it booked Friday night, and we're on the wait list for the other nights). I appreciate it a lot, though. :D
