Today was...um, interesting, hahaha.

Went to school as normal, took an Animal Science test that I am certain I aced, and went to Calculus uneventfully.

Oh, except that I HAVE FINALLY FOUND THE CURE TO HICCUPS. My Calculus teacher told me because she heard me hiccuping. You press your tongue against the roof of your mouth for ten seconds, and I swear it works! No, really! Try it sometime!

Then Ari #2 and I went out to the farm to weigh the seventy-two chickens one last time, and I spent a bunch of time carrying HUGE FAT Cornish Crosses around while they made noises that sounded, I imagine, like a dying dinosaur. The little buffs (and, mind you, buffs are a big breed of chickens) are literally a quarter the weight of those behemoths. I discovered a little silkie hen who had made a nest in the hay trough of the cows, which was adorable.

We then did a lab involving running some blood tests on sheep blood. This felt overlong because I was so tired and just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. DX It did eventually finish, though, and when I did I grabbed a box and went out to pick out some chickens!

You see, now that the experiment was over, we were allowed to help ourselves to taking some of the chickens home if we desired. Ari #2 and I each picked out two buff orpington hens, packed them in a box with some alfalfa, and headed back to Sierra College, where she dropped me off.

Mom took forever getting down to Rocklin, so Ari #1 and I walked around with the chicken box, talked, and held the chickens periodically. This got some rather interesting looks from people who happened to walk by.

I'm letting Ryan have one of the little buff orpington pullets because he only has Cochin Bobochin out of all of the chickens (the rest are mine), and he named his Constantinople. Best name ever, right? XD

Also, the two hens Aubrey gave me a while back have been named Sable and Kerfluffle. Just because they have.

Hahaha, speaking of funny names--Ryan and I agreed that our clown loach should be named Rick Astley. So, he is. And the shrimp's name is Fred.

Ah, time to go to sleep. I'm about to fall asleep right now. *Yaaaawn*

You got to take chickens home? FTW.

Ugh, I had hiccups last night! If only I could have tried it then. 8|!!
