Poor Oliver! I feel so bad. He was in my room flying around, and he landed in my light. :( It burned and blackened a small area of his feathers (thankfully it didn't reach the skin) and possibly his feet a tiny bit, too. His wings are clipped, so I didn't think he could fly that high. He seems perfectly fine and I got most of the blackened spot on his feathers off, but I still feel so bad about it. It still smells like burnt feathers in here. That light is hot and I didn't even think about it before. I'll have to cover it with something next time he's in here.

Between classes, I started reading Vinland Saga today. I've been meaning to read it for quite a while, and when xel_ko uploaded the first four volumes, I couldn't resist. I've only finished the first volume and started the second one, and--OMFG, it's amazing and I adore it already. It's absolutely jaw-dropping--gorgeous art, vikings, awesome battle scenes, great characters... I can't wait to read more. This is top-notch stuff. That one volume was already better than a lot of full series I've read. ♥ I highly recommend it! It is filled with awesome.

I'm all itchy on my arms and legs lately. I wonder why? D:

I have a Zoology quiz tomorrow. By quiz I mean Quiz That Is Longer Than Most Tests. T__T I should have plenty of time to study tomorrow, at least.

I may write again later if I stay up late tonight and/or get bored. >_>

Yes! /a/ can be surprisingly helpful in finding amazing anime and manga if you're careful! /a/ can sometimes be irritating and a lot of them seem to hate positively everything, but there's definitely some awesome /a/non out there. :D

Psst, I think you should see Dennou Coil. It's not quite as epic or action-packed as a lot of things you watch, but it's Ghibli-esque in some ways and is a positively fantastic series.

Is that what you were talking to me about that was on your laptop back in that hotel room at ycon? It sounded fascinating, and since I'm mostly caught up on my shows... (Right now I'm following Kaiji and Zetsubou Sensei. :D)

And pssh, yeah I do have quite the taste for crazyass Berserk/JoJo/Vinland Saga/whatever, but I like the occasional slow thing too. (Mushishi. OMG, Mushishi.)

Yes, yes! I'm obsessed with recruiting people to the series because it's SO GOOD but just about no one knows about it. For some reason, it's hard to get people into initially, despite the fact that the beginning is charming and entertaining. It's just twenty-six episodes, so it's not like it's a long-haul thing. It's pretty light-hearted at first, but it gets complex and pretty heavy later in the series.

Mushishi! ♥ Mushishi is definitely up there in my top ten favorite anime. So. Amazing.

Good idea! I think he's okay, but he's just got the slightest tiniest pink tint on the bottom of his feet. (They're purplish-gray normally.) Maybe I'll do that in the morning before I leave to class, as I already put him to bed for the night.
