Time for the final Year in Review Meme!

pacificpikachuI know, I know, these things are spreading like viruses. But I have to do one! It's tradition!
We're going to the post office to pick up my new CDs a little later, and hopefully we'll be able to get them. I love you, EMS shipping, never change! CDS FROM JAPAN TWO DAYS AFTER THEY'RE SHIPPED. Living in California is the best. 8D Then we're going to Target to pick up Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue version, provided it's in stock. Dad got me the Red version (which is for GBA and therefore not as good), so we returned it and now I have enough to get Blue version. IT'S CUTE, THEREFORE I MUST HAVE IT.
1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Quite a few things! Helped raise fourteen fawns, raised some crows and magpies and quail, met yet more staff from my favorite anime, met my favorite author, wrote 50K words in one month, went to the emergency room multiple times, went in an ambulance, OTHER THINGS I CAN'T REMEMBER.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
SHOCKINGLY, I think I was the first person in history to keep ALL of my New Year's Resolutions. :O I DID IT.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Thankfully, no nearby humans spawned. My chicken Yasako had a little chick, though. (Her name is Fumie.) ♥
4. Did anyone close to you die?
I wasn't really close to DJ, but his death left a big impact on me. :( And my guinea pig Winry and my chicken Brindle both died this year.
5. What countries did you visit?
None, other than the one I live in. So boring.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
More motivation to do schoolwork, better health, more time spent with friends.
7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
The usual--AX and Fanime, but also YaoiCon and the other conventions I went to. 8D ♥ conventions! Also, though, on a much sadder note, I'll probably never forget the date that DJ committed suicide.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
NaNoWriMo! And finishing my Teto cosplay.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Having to drop Chemistry in the Spring semester. ._.;
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
This year was filled with it. ;__;
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Yoko Kanno CDs are always the best thing to buy. XD Also, um, my Pikachu DS.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My friends (ONLINE INCLUDED, YOU GUYS ♥), um. EVERYONE WHO FINISHED NANOWRIMO! :D Other people, but I'm too braindead at the moment to think of who.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Mr. Burns, Chemistry teacher from hell.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Anime conventions, cosplay (FIVE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FAUX FUR PLUS WONDERFLEX), Yoko Kanno CDs, my Pikachu DS, random Pokémon toys.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Anime cons and cosplay (like always), Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Dennou Coil, Gurren Lagann, Ghost Hound, Moyashimon, several other anime series, getting more chickens, AX's guests this year, YaoiCon in general, um...I get really excited really easily. XD
16. What songs will always remind you of 2007?
Prism and Sora no Kakera, ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER (AKA "Libera me" from Hell), Linda Linda (became the theme of this year's Fanime), anything from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Pokémon Italian themes, all the bouncy techno music we listened to in the hotel room at YaoiCon, Uninstall because we saw it live, anything that was a theme song to an anime series I watched this year. All the Turn A Gundam music, because I listened to it a lot this year, Bohemian Rhapsody because of Nicole, Aubrey, and I singing it really loudly in the car on the way back from YaoiCon.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you...
i) happier or sadder? Happier! Lily's death had been really recent this time last year, and that was extremely hard on me...
ii) thinner or fatter? Fatter. Darn it. XD
iii) richer or poorer? Richer at the moment, but I'm blowing some money at AnimeLA, so probably about the same when it comes down to it.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
More conventions! Hahaha, as if I don't go to enough already. XD More writing, more drawing, more creative output period.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Less time in the ER and feeling horrible would have been nice. :(
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it at my aunt Lisa's in Petaluma.
21. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
I'll be at Aubrey's mom's party, because I was invited and it'll probably be fun. 8D
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
I added a few bishounen to the old bishounen harem, but other than that, nope! Thankfully. That's all I need right now. x_x;

Ten billion and a half.
24. What were your favorite TV programs?
NOT INCLUDING ANIME, um, The Office. And Planet Earth, Law & Order (SVU and normal, but no CI), and true crime shows.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate last year?
I don't hate anyone!
26. What was the best book you read?
I didn't read a lot this year, but probably A Fine and Private Place.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
MORE YOKO KANNO. Seriously, though, I'm not sure. It's hard to keep track of when I got into certain things. I'm always listening to new anime OSTs, though.
28. What did you want and get?
Pikachu DS! More Yoko Kanno CDs, getting to go to a bunch of conventions, getting to raise some crows, uhhh...a lot of things?

Probably some things, but I can't remember what they might have been. O_o; I lost a lot of Ebay auctions, haha.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Pan's Labyrinth, probably.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned nineteen, and I didn't do much. I remember watching part of 5 Centimeters Per Second and feeling depressed afterwards. Um, oops? It was kind of uneventful, overall.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If The Pillows had come back for another concert. :< And if AX had gone better, because overall AX was a mess this year (despite a lot of it rocking).
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Same as ever. I've been wearing more or less the same clothing since I was pretty young. I'm boring like that.
34. What kept you sane?
My friends (RL and online), my pets, fandom in general, the Pokémon games.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
YOKO KANNO. Mamoru Miyano?
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The presidential candidates, and abortion. I'm obsessed with abortion staying legal. >.> Animal rights stuff, too, as always. After seeing SiCKO, I'm pretty into the US getting free socialized medicine, too.

All my friends who I didn't see as much this year, Louisa, Lily. :(
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I met a lot of really awesome people this year, on and offline. :D ♥

"If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me who believes in you! Kick reason to the curb and surpass the impossible!" LOL. I would think of something deeper, but I'm too lazy at the moment.

I HAD WAY TOO MANY. Conventions always have the most amazing moments, seriously.

Um...watching my guinea pig suffer and die in front of me was pretty awful. DJ's funeral was suffocatingly depressing.

I apparently was in bed browsing LiveJournal, haha.

My family, most likely.

At Aubrey's mom's house.

I'm going to guess Aubrey, Nolan, and Ellary. XD

The end of October and all of November. YaoiCon and NaNoWriMo were awesome.

No, I didn't drink a single drop of alcohol. Nor will I ever, so...um. Yeah. XD

Just the ones my doctor prescribed. O_o; And I OD'ed on Xanax, but that was entirely accidental (and terrible--it freaks me out just thinking about it).
50. How many people did you sleep with in 2007?
Um, whichever friends spent the night, and my cats and dogs. XD (Hey, it doesn't specify having sex? And I didn't have sex anyway, being a virgin.)
51. Did you do anything you were ashamed of this year?
Probably, but if I did, I can't remember what it might have been, so I don't imagine whatever it was was all that bad.
52. What was the worst lie someone told you in 2007?
I don't know...?

Not that I can think of. I...don't think so? And if I did, it was unintentional.

Not particularly.

I'm not sure. SOS-dan, Chiaki Ishikawa, and...I'm sure others. I just can't remember which ones I saw this year.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. I had fun at all of them I went to. ^^ The two I listed above were memorable, though.

A LOT. Like...a LOT.
58. If you could go back in time to any moment of 2007 and change it, when and what would you change?
I have some regrets regarding some things I missed out on at AX, but those were all minor miffs. Not that big of a deal. But, yeah, I wish I could go back and attend those events. :P

Not the greatest ever because of my medical problems and a few losses, but it was certainly better than 2006, which was a really rough year. I hope 2008 ends up being an awesome year. 8D
