29K! Writing was fun tonight. The last few nights have been difficult writing-wise for some reason, and everything seemed to be going so sluggishly in my novel, but it sped up tonight and seemed to go by nice and quickly.

My hen Brindle is most likely dying. ;_; When I went to let the chickens out of the hen house in the morning, I discovered she hadn't even gone in the hen house at all and had slept in the big cage that the pheasant usually sleeps on top of. I'll save you the ickier details, but she's really skinny and lethargic, and...well, she's acting just like Lace (her sister) did before she died last year. I keep wanting to do something for her, but I don't think there's much I can do. I don't think she's sick because she caught anything, as the rest of the chickens are as healthy as can be--I think she's sick just because she's so old and has been going downhill for a while now.

I mean, she's somewhere around eight or nine years old--that's old for a big hen like herself. I wish she would just recover and go on to live forever, but I know that's not realistic. If nothing else, I just hope she goes peacefully. I'll miss her when she's gone. She's been part of my coop for so long, and she's such a beautiful girl.

Not the best picture of her ever, but...yeah.

Anyway, that's sad. But it'll be okay. She's lived a good, long life. It's just a little hard when you know they're going to die and you have to deal with that and hope that they're comfortable. I've considered putting her in a cage or something and having her somewhere warm, but when it comes down to it I think she's happiest in the coop with all her friends.

Also, on some less sad notes, I fell asleep watching an alien conspiracy show after English today. LOLOLOL, it was hilarious. It was the lizard-man guy again. Here's his website and Wikipedia entry if you would like some LULZ: http://www.davidicke.com/index.php/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_icke

Also, I brought my chickie into the bathroom to run around today. I call it "Seekin" for now, until it gets a real name. It had fun clucking at itself in the mirror, sitting on my head, attempting to fight with my shoe, and hunting down and eating a dead spider.

Wah, good job on the Nanowrimo. 8D;;; I'm catching up this week, since it's a whole week off because of Thanksgiving! Now that's something I'm thankful for.

I'm sorry about Brindle. But like you said, she's lived a good and well-sized life... her time has come naturally, at least.

Yay for animals that eat spiders! We're getting so many in my house now, brown fat ones. T_T They're coming in more now that it's colder outside. Honestly, the smart ones who are going to survive better stay out of my sight... or coming in to escape the cold is just as much of a death-threat as staying outside!

And then I was at Cafe Mekka last night doing my NaNoWriMo thing, and the guys next to me were talking about the SAME alien conspiracy with the lizard men! They were totally serious about it, too, and kept talking about all psychic energy, Illuminati (what the lizard men are called), "modal brain waves", and other crazy stuff.

I was amused beyond belief. XD
