I know it's already been said a million times, but...

NaNoWriMo has begun!

Aubrey and I started it last night at midnight at her Halloween party, but we both each only wrote for a little under a half-hour. I got to 635 words, she got to a little over 400. Not great, but not terrible either. I need to get the story going, though. ;_; Right now it's such a mess. At least the narrator is kind of gaining a voice? A little? I'm doing my best to ignore my inner editor, so I've basically just been typing and then sitting and trying not to go back and fix things immediately.

Anyway, I'm not really far enough to say much, but I hope I get the story flowing soon so I just type like a madwoman and not feel like I'm betraying my novel by loading it with superfluous crud. Wish me luck! I sorely need it. I'll be writing quite a bit more throughout the day, I hope.

Tomorrow's going to be a better day for NaNo-ing, but today I need to at least exceed my daily wordcount or 2000-ish words if I can.

I got only a few hours of sleep last night, so I'm a little out of it.

GAH, I really really really really need to send those pkmncollectors packages. Really really. It takes hours packing them all up and doing drawings for people, though, so I'm not sure what to do. ;_;

Wooo! I was all nervous yesterday. I still am. It's neat, though, I feel more energetic than usual. Have google documents open here at work for my free moments... I can't wait to see how (if, lol) this story plays out. Wonder if it'll follow what I have in my head. So far I'm in my second paragraph, zomg!

Don't worry about superfluous crud either. You can edit later! But actually I know how you feel, so easier said than done, of course...

For the packages... maybe try doing them in batches? Do a little spree to the post office every few days. Don't do loads in one sitting though, or you'll end up hating it.

ooh, have fun! I typed 550 words last night, have yet to start again today. I also hate putting superflous crap, but without it it's hard to make the 2,000 word/day I'm doing... :(

Haha, I already can't wait to chop it up after November, lol. But editing will be a bitch after that. x.x

Yay! (again) I wouldn't worry about superfluous things too much; I don't know if you remember, but I was very worried about it last year, but it ended up adding depth to my story. Especially since you're doing litfic, you can pack a little bit of symbolism in most anything, and don't be afraid to lavish with descriptions. ^_^
