pacificpikachuI'm stuck at school with nothing to do. First class ended at 10:50 AM. It is now 1:40 PM. Next class is at 6:30 PM. Nicole was supposed to give me a ride after English ended, but alas she is, for some reason, utterly out of contact. She's not answering her cell phone or home phone. Mom's sleeping because she worked night shift last night and is working night shift tonight, too, dad is working in Sacramento, and none of my friends are anywhere to be seen.
Oh well. I figure something will probably work out if I keep waiting. It would be nice to go home for a few hours before going back to class, though.
Due to the Haruhi skin on my computer, I somehow attracted the attention of a homeless, twenty-year-old anime-loving arch druid who is very very interested in medicinal herbs. Uh, yeah, those medicinal herbs. We tried to talk about anime for a while, but he has quite different tastes than I do, and to be honest I was kind of hoping he would go away. He seemed nice enough, but you know that feeling you get when you're talking to someone you have only a little in common with, who just keeps talking and talking to you? :/ Yeah. He did finally leave so he could smoke a cigarette (I politely asked him not to smoke around me), and I took off at that point after wishing him well.
I seem to attract the weird ones, I guess. Not to imply I'm not weird myself, but the people with that...weird weird vibe, you know? The sort who don't stop talking about non-pertinent things long after you stop showing interest and are difficult to deter without actually making it apparent that you have to go.
At least my first shiny team training is going fairly well... My Dratini finally learned Outrage at level 51, so he evolved into Dragonair and then Dragonite a few levels later. I like my weird-looking greenish Dragonite. ♥ Alpine the Ninetales is blazing through battles pretty well, too, and Terra (now a Pupitar) is lagging a little but will hopefully be better once she evolves into Tyranitar. I haven't even started training (outside of completing EV training, of course) Leafeon, Ampharos, or Lapras.
Anyway, I think I'll go look for some friends. I'm so bored and lonely right now... I wanna go home. T_T Not that there's anything to do at home, granted, but...it's the principle of it or something.

Date: 2007-08-31 05:25 am (UTC)Aw, while we haven't met IRL, I don't imagine you would be one of those people. I think the main thing that makes them as odd as they are is the fact that they don't seem to know that they're weird, and I know you're aware of that and embrace it. XD

Date: 2007-08-31 04:45 am (UTC)It actually seems that just weird people in general are attracted to me, not necessarily fellow otaku. x_x; Like I was at the art store the other day, and this guy was talking to me about an art class he teaches at the store. This was fine for a little while, but I had to leave and I excused myself, but he continued following me and talking me, though I kind of ceased responding at some point. It wasn't like, "Oh no, he's really creepy" or anything like that... Just, y'know, harmlessly odd and annoying.
That's too bad you don't have any fellow anime-loving friends in RL. :( I have tons of fellow RL anime friends, so...yeah. Try to find some sometime! It's really fun having friends in real life who share fandoms and fangirl with you and discuss and such.
