pacificpikachuBah, I'm getting bad about writing entries again. ._.;
Over the weekend, we went down to Marin to go take stuff from my grandma's house. See, she just moved from her rather large house (which is selling for over $1 mil (!)) to an apartment, so she had a bunch of stuff she no longer had need for. It was decidedly rather fun going through all this random stuff and getting to take whatever I wanted. Among tons of furniture, I found a cane with a gold duck head for a handle, a big huge umbrella, one of those really old rolly sort-of-vacuum things, a shiny clock, THE DRAGONFLY SCEPTER (which is actually a garden decoration with a shiny sphere at the top of it, and a dragonfly made of shiny marbles), and all kinds of other weird stuff. Man, you should've seen the truck we were in when we were done with it. It was so filled with stuff that it was LOLeriffic.
We went to go check out my grandma's new apartment, but at almost exactly the time we left to go see her there, she had left to visit her old house. XD So, we didn't get to see her.
The past few days I have done nothing, really. I've been EV training my all-shiny team (In fact, I'm going to have TWO all-shiny teams eventually!) for use against![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tonko_ni when we're both ready and anyone else who'd like to battle, and other than that...uhhh. Not much has happened. I still need to finish my Pokédex--only eleven to go!
I was feeling really inspired to write or draw or something last night, but I couldn't quite get that creative energy harnessed in a usable way. :/
I'm thinking of setting up a commissions/selling of random Pokémon stuff to make money for a) a DS lite case for the Pikachu DS, b) THE BIG BUIZEL PLUSHIE I WANT SO BADLY, c) other random stuff I've had my eye on. We'll see if I can muster up the energy to do that tonight or something.
I have no birds, the quail should be released one of these days, and thus my life has gone into lots of free time and hanging around. I've been pretty tired lately, too, for some unknown reason. I'm dreading going back to school on the sole basis of hating homework. I don't mind classes themselves, but homework is hellish.
Anyway, back to EV training! Hope your team building is going well, too,tonko_ni!

But actually I had lent my Diamond cartridge (my main game is on Pearl) to a friend to get her hopefully into the game. Worked well enough that she bought her own, and so I think I'll transfer them to the new Diamond game so I can level them up, plotline style. They will so not be EV trained, but I don't think I have the patience for that! Maybe if I ever manage my own all-shiny team (I tried to chain for Bidoofs once, until I found out shiny Bidoof is almost the same colour as normal Bidoof! But I'll probably end up trying again eventually, just to have one).
And wow, I'm envious of you getting to go through all that awesome stuff, that's like my dream come true (though I totally have no room for doing anything like that).
And I know how you feel about school, I had the exact same feeling right about this time of year too.

It's always so much fun getting new people interested in Pokémon and getting to see that new-fan enthusiasm. :)EV training is tedious, and plotline style is nice 'n' fun. :D So, while EV training does pay off, I can definitely see why you're doing it plotline-style. Have a good time, and let me know when you get your Pokémon up to a level where they can compete! I've actually got all my shiny team EV trained now, but I need to level them up (they're mostly in the level 18-34 range). Either a level 50 or level 100 battle is fine with me. Good luck with your training!
Rifling through random stuff is so fun. >D I forgot--I got this old-fashioned foot massager, too. XD I have it under my desk right now.
Bleh, at least I'm not alone in my school-dread. I'm probably not even going to hate it that much once I start it, but the homework for my icky science-major classes...eghhhh. Do not want.
