The birds in the first picture... they're going to have really pretty wings when they grow up, judging from that one developed white feather with black stripes. D'aww. And all those little packed up chickies make such a cute scene.
This is what the black and white bird is going to look like:
They're really pretty and shiny, and unfortunately their species has been having a tough time lately because of West Nile. :( The other one is actually a crow. XD He looks like he's about the same size as the magpie in the picture, but he actually weighs three times as much as the magpie! But the magpie is a little starved right now, so I have to get his weight up.
Oh! I love crows. But then I love pigeons and seagulls too, despite being notorious for bombing you from above.
I remember hearing about magpies and West Nile some years ago. Apparently in the town where I live we have a native type of magpie and some people were worrying if their population would get damaged, but they're fine as far as I can tell right now.
OMG!!! THEY ARE SO CUTE! LOOKATHOWFLUFFYTHEYAREANDTHEIRLITTLEBEAKS!! We have ducks around my school that just chill in front of the library, in front of the student apartments. Some even eat out of your hand. They're very cute.
