Well, yesterday rocked, and we're leaving for Fanime in probably a little over an hour. :O

Let's see...seeing as I have a little time before Mom, Zoe, Nicole, and Ryan get back from renting the van, I might as well write a little about the last two days.

I was very bouncy and energetic yesterday (and I still am), and at one point during first period I burst out very loudly singing Hare Hare Yukai. XD;; It disturbed the majority of the people in the class, but I think most of them are at least somewhat used to my strangeness after putting up with me all year.

Also, before school there was a sellathon. A sellathon is where a ton of students in...Government? Well, I forget what classes (not mine), but they set up tons of breakfast booths and compete against one another in who can sell the most breakfast foods in a half-hour. Supposedly it was pretty cut-throat. I didn't buy anything because I had no money with me. ^^;

During second period, we went to Every Fifteen Minutes. I'm not going to go into great deal describing it, but essentially our school sets up a VERY realistic portrayal of a car accident on the football field (using two real cars that crashed and students from our school to play the injured victims and the dead victim). It then plays out like a real accident--they have someone calling 911, the police come, the ambulance comes, the fire truck comes, the coroner comes, even the medical HELICOPTER comes with the real staff in them. They then go through the whole procedure of what they do when an accident occurs. It's really pretty cool. There are other parts of it (IE, the grim reaper comes and takes certain students out of class, the kids who play the victims go to camps overnight and write a letter to their parents and friends containing what they'd say if they died, fake gravestones are set up around the school for them, and the video crew makes a movie about their deaths) but I'm missing a lot of those because I'm quite obviously not going to school because of Fanime.

Third period was uneventful. Softball as usual.

Lunch and fifth period we laid down some plans for Fanime and arranged ideas and such.

Sixth period we ate muffins, brownies, and drank this yummy mango smoothie-like thing that people brought in as leftovers from the breakfast thing, so that was good. We also talked about Every Fifteen Minutes, Mrs. Mclean informed us she got a different job at this school Bill Gates is setting up (we were really excited for her), and we talked about 1984.

Druing seventh, I finished 1984 (ironically while listening to extremely hyper, high-pitched music) and Kathryn and I poked fun at awful comic books we found in the library. XD;; At our library, they often hang up artwork in the hallway, and as Kathryn and I were looking through those, we found... Get this.

Inuyasha...as a merman. XD;; Badly drawn, way off proportion, extremely buff, and with string for hair. But he was unmistakably Inuyasha. Sitting on a rock in the ocean. As a merman. I can't even express my amusement over this.

Zoe came with me after school, and we essentially packed and did chores for the entire night. We took two breaks (one to watch The Office, which I adore, and one to watch episode eight of Haruhi, which I also very much adore). It was extremely chaotic.

Oh! And right after school, we picked up my costume. It's wonderful~! I love it so much and I can't wait to wear it. When one of Gaylene's assistants was ringing it up, she made a mistake and accidentally put 14 yds of fur instead of 4.5 yds, so I almost freaked out when my total came to $200+. XD;; But the mistake was luckily fixed, and it ended up being about $77, which wasn't too bad at all. So, my costume was about $107, all in all. Not bad for how professional-looking it is. ^^;

Today, we played with the birds and guinea pigs in the house for quite a while, watched stupid TV shows, and continued getting ready.

Awww, I feel bad that Densha can't come with us. He was going to come, and now he could because we'll probably have an extra seat in the van (if we get a van), but he has relatives coming up. Oh well.

Well, it's going to be a glorious trip, as Fanime always is! I'm uber-excited. YAY!
