No update yesterday--I should've written one, but I was busy waiting around and pining and such. I spent most of the day on the computer anyway, but [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes and [livejournal.com profile] userpicks distracted me, among other things.

I called Cody a few times in the morning, but because he was over at Brendan's and went out to dinner with his Dad, he said he couldn't come over 'til about 6 PM-ish. I know I could have done something constructive with, y'know, the entire day, but I suppose that's easier said than done. So, I sat around and saved pointless things, and thought a lot, and did a bunch of ballpoint pen animal drawings in my school sketchbook based off photographs. He called at 6 PM and said Nicole had called and asked if we (meaning Cody, KK, herself, and me) could all go to the student choreography showcase at the school (despite the fact it was supposedly sold out--Nicole believed we could go and somehow sneak the tickets or something). To be honest, I was a tad disappointed, merely because I was thinking he and I were going to hang out and have a fairly important conversation that needs to happen, but once he picked me up and we were on our way to KK's, I was actually happy to be with all three of them.

For some entirely unknown reason, the ride to and from KK's house seemed strangely profound to me. It was getting dark, and it was all four of us, and we spent most of our time fairly quiet, but occasionally broke that quiet to talk about the loss of Sean, which Nicole was really, deeply affected by, and anime (which is always a constant topic with us). I don't know why it struck me as being meaningful at all, but I suppose it was just a sort of...togetherness, and knowing that we will indeed be split up fairly soon, but we're still together and that's really what matters at the moment. Plus, we've all had our issues recently, some more serious than others, and being together felt good, simply because it took off some of that burden to a degree.

We went to the school and started hanging around in front of the Don Baggett theater. I think by now, at least Cody and I (and probably KK, too) had determined we weren't going to get tickets (as there was a waiting list already for the unoccupied seats), but Nicole still wanted to scheme to get in. Cody started playing hackeysack with KK's wallet, which caused change to fall out everywhere (not to mention he hit a lady in the head with it on accident...oops). However, soon KK and Nicole joined in, too, so it was amusing to watch. We decided it would be "Strip Hackeysack", so we kept declaring that people needed to strip when they missed it. No one did, of course, but the point is it was funny anyway. After a while, we learned that the situation really was hopeless, so we piled back into Cody's car, went by my house to grab some anime, and then went and spent the night at Cody's.

We watched Saikano 1-6 for a while. I originally wanted to watch Gankutsuou first, but I didn't mind watching Saikano instead at all. ^^ It was good to rewatch those episodes, anyway, as I was a little zoned-out last time I watched them. Nicole was a little mad at me because I didn't want to watch past episode 6 (where I had seen previously) because it was late, KK and Cody were falling asleep, and I don't like watching episodes of shows for the first time when I'm with other people and I'm not entirely there mentally. KK was obviously rather tired--for some reason, she kept laughing for no apparent reason and then she wouldn't stop for quite a while. It was both amusing and concerning at the same time. XD;; She quit doing that around episode 3, though.

Cody and KK went to bed, and Nicole dragged me off because she wanted to talk to me. She and I ended up having a rather emotional conversation about basically our internal flaws, what bothers us about each other, and glancing a little on just how bad my emotional state is. Man, I'm really bad...even glancing on those certain topics in the conversation made me seriously shivery and a little sick. It took me hours and hours to fall asleep because I felt so icky, and it took me a long time to stop shaking. ;_; I did eventually fall asleep, though, and then I slept in 'til about 9:45 AM. Cody, Nicole, and KK got up earlier than I did and Nicole and KK were watching Saikano episode 7, so I needed to distract myself so I didn't spoil anything. I watched Cody make us scrambled eggs for breakfast and played with Boots, meanwhile.

For much of the rest of the day, Nicole watched further in Saikano, while I watched Cody play old RPGs with KK emphatically giving him instructions. It was pretty funny. ^^; We all just goofed around for a while, and Nicole had no pants on for no reason, and then we watched a single episode of Queer as Folk...which was disturbing. X_x; Normally I wouldn't be weirded-out by gayshmex, but that particular episode was...er...entirely about bondage-type things, and was therefore quite disturbing. Allusions to said topics kept coming up throughout the day. XD;

At about 1:10 PM, we went to go help Cody's mom in the Mardi Gras parade downtown. Y'see, Sheila's running for City Council, so she had a ton of business cards, candy, and some beads for us to hand out in the parade. Cody, Nicole, and KK all got cool masks to wear, but because there were only three, I just wore my normal clothes and used Cody's zany-looking umbrella. It was pretty fun, really, despite the fact that it was raining and really windy (the umbrella kept going inside-out), and all the people who I gave the stuff to were really nice. (There were many "Thank you!"s.) I ran out of stuff to hand out before the end of Main St., but I was very thorough in giving them to everyone who wanted them. I was the only one of my four friends who wasn't completely sopped by the end of the parade, so Sheila gave us $20 to spend at Mekka, along with letting us keep the Mardi Gras beads she had loaned us.

In Mekka, some very funny scenes happened. So, we went into Mekka and it was totally packed--people everywhere. We got in line to order our drinks, and Cody was cold because his shirt was wet. Well, KK offered her trenchcoat to him, and then we concluded the best way to get warm was to take off the wet shirt. XD;; So he did. In the middle of a swarm of people in Mekka, he took off his shirt. The guy who was in line behind us was very amused, especially seeing as KK's trenchcoat was way too small for him, and therefore it didn't cover up the majority of his nakedness. Funny stuff. People kept looking at him weirdly, and we kept making suggestive comments about his shirtlessness, and warming our very cold and very red hands on his stomach. Ahahaha--I love my friends. ♥ Cody and I both got Fairy Tea, and KK and Nicole both got Chai, and we all shared a fancy poofy lime cake thing.

We walked up to Nate's house (Cody still shirtless and all--caused a couple double-takes), where Cody's car was parked, and Cody got a shirt from Nate. We then drove to the gas station, as Cody needed some gas to take Nicole and KK home. Well...um...while he was buying the gas, for some reason his steering wheel locked up. And we could not, for the life of us, get it to unlock again. We sat in that car for about forty-five minutes, amusing ourselves and trying various methods to get it to unlock, but it was all to no avail, no matter how many random people at the gas station we enlisted to help. Cody called my Dad to see if he could solve the issue, but Dad wouldn't get there for about forty minutes, so that didn't work out too well. We got food at the gas station to munch on meanwhile, Cody called AAA to get it towed, and KK's mom came and picked up Nicole and KK. Cody and I sat around in the car for a while, not really saying much, until the towtruck came and we had to part ways. Dad came to get me at the gas station about fifteen minutes after Cody left, and we drove back to Cody's so I could grab the stuff I had left in his house.

After that...I just worked on my essay on AMVs for my Senior Project, and now I really need to go so I can start on my art project...which is due tomorrow. XD;; Hahaha, I'm a bad person. I also HAVE to send in some college stuff tomorrow, because it must be postmarked before March 1st. Ack. x.x Senior Project essay's due Friday, my Japanese exchange student comes Friday, and I'm still not nearly done with my Japanese course. That's...crazy.

Feelings-wise, I'm a lot better because I got to hang out with my friends, but I admit I'm still not as reassured as I probably should be. ._.; I really need to talk to Cody and have some alone-time with him, in particular, but also KK and Nicole and such, merely because I'm having such a hard time working out some things, and it's really, really hard. Overall, I'm fairly good, though. I wish I wasn't such an emotional wreck. It feels like everyone's been having a hard time lately.

Good night--I need to go work on my art project and then get some good quality sleep.

I'm really sorry you were effected so much by our hanging out. Anyway, I'm glad you're better. Remember, I'm always here to talk, even though I haven't been around as much (Due to busy schedule... Choir, Gatsby, you know the drill), but I still want to listen to what you have to say.

Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, I had the night from hell, after I got home.

...Today was a lot of fun though.
