pacificpikachuFUN day, but I'm just going to write a brief entry on it because I want to go to bed sometime soon. >.>
Was bored for the first part of the day. I was determined to draw something good, but everything I started turned out exceedingly bad, so after about twelve long attempts at starting new drawings, I quit and just listened to music. After a little while of that, I sat down at the computer with intentions of starting a fanfic, but...uh, that didn't go so well either. @_@
So, I went with Dad up to Scott's Flat Lake, just to hang out in the car while Dad and Ryan swam. Listened to a lot of music, and I brought my school sketchbook with me. I decided to attempt to draw that chimera/unicorn thing I've been wanting to write a sick, twisted story about, and much to my surprise--the picture actually turned out okay. Here it is:
Well, this is only half of it (the other half is on the other page of the sketchbook, and I don't want to deal with the seam), and it looks a lot better if you can see both halves... Off-proportion intentionally, by the way. She's supposed to be a...well, sort of a messed-up experiment gone wrong. I was going to make her look sad, because she's supposed to be a pitiful creature, but now she looks angry and buff instead. ^^;
Take that, anyone who thinks I only draw cute things. :P
When we got back, I called Cody, who informed me he was at Pioneer Park with other people. Dad gave me a ride there, so we were hanging out for quite a while. It was myself, Ciera, Cody, Makayla, Fufu, and other people. We played frisbee for a while, until Cody unintentionally broke the frisbee, and then we (after throwing shoes at each other and other silly things) went to Makayla's house for a while.
Howl's Moving Castle was to start at 7 PM, so after a while at Makayla's, Cody and I went to our houses to get some money (and eat cheese and frozen yogurt and check our e-mails and talk about random things), and we met a bunch of people in front of the Nevada Theater.
We ended up with a sizeable party of people, and therefore there was much giggling, happiness, and joking during the movie. It was SO much fun getting to see it again! Especially with all my friends. ♥ Lots of fellow otaku we didn't know went to the movie, too.
It was really awesome getting to see another Miyazaki movie in the theater. It's sort of...come full circle. My Freshman year, Spirited Away played at the Nevada Theater, and that was kind of where I bonded with Makayla and Kathryn and a lot of other people. Now, in our Senior year, we took a big group of friends there to see another Ghibli film, and we even sat in the same place. ^_^ It's awesome.
So, I went in Cody's car and we took Steven and Makayla home before he dropped me off, and that was that. It was a great day. :D (Of course, just about any day with Howl is a good day. XD)
