A day of nothings and somethings
Dec. 11th, 2005 09:53 pmI have this stubborn idea in my head that today I did nothing. I accomplished nothing, I worked on nothing, I just lounged on the couch and vegetated.
Except that's not true--at least not entirely.
I woke up at about 10 AM, and because I was stressed over it, I began working on my big ol' Econ assignment that's due tomorrow. Luckily, using resources known as Teh Great Interweb and My Mother, I was able to complete the packet without too much time, trouble, or effort going into to. Kristin doesn't like it when effort goes into her homework, because that's just not allowed to happen. I also learned that veterinarians do indeed make quite good money, and so I'll probably be set for life, even if I do create considerable debt during college.
Then I got to work on my
naruto_wishlist fanfic. For the first little while, my writing was really stiff, but eventually it loosened up quite a bit and the words came to me fairly easily. It still took me about two hours to do it, but I finished it! I'm feeling very accomplished over this. :D It needs some serious rereading, and I have to do a ton of hack jobs before I even let KK set her eyes on it, but I'm still happy that it's all done. It ended up being about five and a half pages in 10 font, which is remarkable because in hindsight, not a lot happens in it. O_o;
Mom told me I'd better organize JTAF or we're not going, so I gave her some hotel numbers and she made reservations. YES! I'm really excited--this is my first convention since Anime Expo, which was a full six months ago. :O This is unheard of. So, now we just have to figure out rides and such, and we're set.
After finishing that, I played with the guinea pigs on the outside couch for a while and fed them a bunch of treats, fed the chickens, cleaned the bird cage, and did other pet-related things I can't remember.
I think it was from here that I started my long voyage of Nothing. I got to watching Law and Order, which always kills anything else I was planning on doing because I get so darn absorbed in it, and if there's more than one episode on... I'm doomed. I watched two episodes of that at least, ate Chinese food, and called my friends (KK, Nicole, Cody, Makayla). KK and I chatted for a little while, as did Makayla and I, Cody said he'd call me back (and I later called him back instead, actually XD), and Nicole's phone died repeatedly, which was disappointing because I wanted to talk to her. :/
I read the newspaper. I found a really funny article on crafts, which I am saving to my archives of funny things. In the police blotter, someone reported finding a $1 bill. I am amused.
I think that's pretty much my whole day. Not too exciting, but not as boring as I thought it was. Now it's past my bedtime. Good night! :D

Date: 2005-12-13 08:42 pm (UTC)Oh, I meant to tell you! I think you know that my best friend has a kitten (well, he's not quite a kitten anymore) named Toboe. She also has an older cat named Sam. Well, sometimes...Sam humps Toboe. XD So when she told me that, I thought of how you are a TsumexToboe shipper and maybe it's like...reality canon. XD;
