Today was surprising. :O You'll see why eventually.

Dad had to wake me up this morning because I was incapable of waking up on my own. Very unusual, I must say. I just got back from a five-day weekend, so I guess I can't expect too much of myself.

During my Peer Tutor period in Beginning Art, I ended up reading Heart of Darkness ten pages past where I was supposed to read because I became rather engrossed. For some reason, it made complete and total perfect sense to me at the moment, although now if I skim over it, I can't remember for the life of me what happened (or at least not the details). I also...um...okay, I finished shading a rabbit. Not as exciting as I thought it was. >.> The Freshmen were watching a movie on the fence guy, which was a movie I watched in my Freshmen year, too. Don't ask if you don't know--it's a long story.

Second period, I became very concerned about the work ethic of my partners in the current Econ project, but it turns out they're actually almost done with their part of the project. *Phew* Not that I was that concerned--I spent the entire period on Wikipedia reading about the history of fanfiction. Woo. Go me. Very educational. There was so much darned Star Trek stuff, though, that I merely skimmed over much of it. It started snowing during Econ, though! I became very excited and watched out the window as the snow blustered around.

Got called crazy (in a friendly manner, though) on the way to PE because I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt (as I always do). Always makes me feel accomplished for being so stupid or stubborn or just not that cold or whatever it is that gives me these impulses to never wear pants, ever.

Lost two of our games in PE against the weakest teams, but we won against the strongest team so it kinda balanced out. :X We had a sub, so all seemed happy in the world. Our teamwork was so bad today, though--we all kept talking and scrambling around for no reason during the games.

Lunch...um...tried using Cody as a source of warmth (although it had stopped snowing at that point), but that only worked for a limited amount of time because he had quartet practice. >.> So Shannon and I migrated to the choir room, where it was warmer and we had more people to talk to. Discussed Champloo and Naruto with GW. Ate very little of my lunch. Zoe was not at school. ._.; Woe and sadness.

During Advanced Art, we watched this nifty movie on the artist who created the Vietnam War Memorial, and all the controversy surrounding it. It was really fascinating, and I totally admire the artist for how much she stuck to her ideals and remained calm even in the midst of great turmoil. She seemed awesome. It was especially interesting because I've been to the Vietnam War Memorial, and even though I went to see it about eight or nine years ago, I still remember it. There are gnats everywhere in Mr. Baxter's room because of some bad sanitation ideas on the part of the school faculty. Now we can really honestly say that there are things growing in Mr. Baxter's room. Uck. He says his room is a giant science experiment. XD

English was pretty much uneventful. We discussed Heart of Darkness. There is no heater in the room. ._.;

Sat around and read the newspaper as usual in Anatomy, and then I lingered in the choir room after school for a little while telling funny anime convention stories with Selah. XD We were talking about the time she (in full cosplay gear) proposed to an eight-year-old boy at a McDonald's on the way back from Anime Expo. Unfortunately, she was ignored by the little boy as his mother laughed hysterically over the ridiculousness of it all. Later at the McDonald's (which was approximately four hours from the convention, by the way), we met up with a large group of fellow AX-ers and had a wonderful time. 'Twas awesome. Not going to go into great detail about it, though.

Mom picked me up after that and we went to go look at the house we put an offer in on yesterday. It is still wonderful. XD Not really much to say about that. Stopped at a deli on the way back and got a quesadilla. Picked Ryan up. Went home.

Now comes the cool part. We got a call when we got home saying that our offer was accepted on the house! In other words, now it's in escrow! ^_^ OMGOMGOMG! So, if all goes well and Mom doesn't freak out about the payments (they'll be about $3000 a month. We are currently paying a little over $800 a month. You do the math.), we'll be moving in to it on December 28th, which is when escrow ends. While I'm not letting myself get *too* hopeful yet, it's really exciting. *Majorly crosses fingers*

The rest of the day...eh... I had a hard time because the water at our house isn't working. ._.; Either the pipes froze or there's something wrong with the filter (?) because the sinks and shower have almost no water pressure at all and the toilet won't flush without putting more water in it, too. I decided I needed a bath, though (even though I'm not dirty--it's more of an emotional need or something, y'know?), so I spent about forty-plus minutes waiting for the bathtub to fill up, because it was literally only a little over a drip. I did get my bath in the end, though. ^^;; Unfortunately, a shower was out of the question because there wasn't even enough water pressure for us to be able to pull the thing that redirects the water to the showerhead.

The baby guinea pigs are doing well, by the way. :D I hopefully can borrow Dad's digital camera again and get some pictures of these two. The brown one has a mohawk. XD

Grrr...I *still* haven't gotten time to work on my [livejournal.com profile] naruto_wishlist assignment, though. *Glowers* I only have about a page and a half! I have so much more to do! I know I'll be able to get it done by the deadline, but I just want to get working on it so it's not so rushed and I can make it truly good.

I'd better be going. I'm not even supposed to be online right now--I'm on the [uber-evil] dial-up connection and Mom's on call with work and there are people calling about house sale-related things.

Life is so busy right now. @_@

Thanks! I'm hoping everything works out. ^_^

Oh, there was much more to the story. It was hilarious, though. XD I have endless amounts of anime convention stories...

Awesome! I've been to seventeen so far, because I'm just crazy like that. @_@ I cosplay Pikachu and Kumagorou (from Gravitation).

Awww, Nina?! *Sobs* That was such a sad story. ;_; You'll have to take pictures!
