Ack, I'm supposed to be in bed! ^^;
Nov. 17th, 2005 09:58 pmOh well. I feel my obligation to write at least a short entry is quite strong (for no real reason, of course).
Today was just fine, although it had its highs and lows. My TA period, I...listened to Maaya Sakamoto and talked with my Freshmen as usual. They're still convinced I'm crazy/on drugs/mentally ill, but they love it. XD I don't even remember a single thing I talked about with them today, other than my weird dream.
OMG, I forgot about my weird dream! I must type it up!
Before you read, you have to know one thing: My crazy group of friends (the rather wide circle of crazy friends--I think there are about thirty or forty of us in this particular group) calls ourselves The Mob for no real reason. We just think it's funny. XD This comes into play in my dream.
So the whole Mob was at this weird, old-fashioned anime convention in this really old hotel. Somehow, we were supposed to be using our real-life experiences in the next day or so to make the Ring 2 (?!). O_o; WTF. And, even more WTF--in the beginning of the dream, at least, I was under the impression that I was Elvy from RahXephon. I don't know why or how. Also, all my friends (our "Mob") were in fedora hats (I think that's what they're called, anyway), like real mobsters. XD
So, we were in this weird, wood-walled room with only one window (which looked out on to a river), when we somehow met up with another mob and got in a verbal argument with them over...I don't even know what. I got very heated up over this argument, though, and declared that I was going to kill one of the guys in the other mob. I was fired-up, too--I was yelling about how they could even kill me, and I would still come back and kill the guy. I said this very vengefully, and apparently I really meant it. I also figured this would be the plot for the movie--they'd kill me and I'd come back to life in some spectral form and kill him in return. Anyway, we agreed to meet the next night to kill each other. XD
Then there was something about a bridge that I can't remember. I don't doubt this was inspired by either KK and I hanging out on the bridge near my Dad's house or FLCL, but I don't even remember what role the bridge played (if any).
In the next "shot" of the dream, I was on my way back to the hotel. I was walking up a hill on a road that looked suspiciously like the road up to my Dad's house, when I realized very dramatically that I didn't want to kill the guy or be killed, and I was suddenly very afraid. As I was thinking about this and reaching the top of the hill, some gunshots rang out, and I turned around to see the guy I was supposed to kill shooting at me from the bottom of the hill. He had a comical amount of weird weaponry under the arm not holding his gun (think something like Wile E. Coyote gear). Suddenly, Mr. Baxter was there and asking me if anything was wrong. I lied and told him that the guy was shooting at me unprovoked for no reason, so Mr. Baxter went and confiscated his weapons. Go Mr. Baxter! XD
When I got back inside the convention/hotel, I went into the room next door to the room where we were supposed to meet up with the other mob, turned off the lights, and discovered several of my fellow mobsters already there. We all huddled in the corner under this yellow blanket, figuring that the other mob could never find us there and we could think of a plan meanwhile. Believe it or not, this particular sequence was actually somewhat nightmarish--I really, desperately wanted a way out of this whole thing.
Some other things happened while we were hiding under the blanket, but I can't remember for the life of me what they were. Anyway, for whatever reason we ended up going into the other room, where we started socializing with the other mob and actually having a good time. I actually recognized several of the dream-people in the other mob as people from my classes. XD I think we were actually dancing to music and drinking punch and stuff. O_o; Apparently, we could still have peace with the other mob members--just not the one I threatened (and his cronies. He had cronies.).
Eventually, the guy I was supposed to kill showed up. Oh, and apparently I had conveniently forgotten that he was a high-powered cyborg. My bad. O_O; He kept telling me to come and kill him, so I took this squarish stick-log thing (like firewood, only skinnier) and whapped him lightly on the shoulder. For some reason, I forgot again while I was swinging to hit him that he was a cyborg, and I was worried about hitting him too hard. Obviously, my little hit didn't do a great deal. Then I laughed and patted his shoulder and told him that was what he got for threatening to kill me. He laughed, too, and pulled up his sleeve to show that my hit had done no damage at all.
"Truce?" I said, holding out my hand. He shook it. Then I turned around and declared that we, the two mobs, should form a overall truce to prevent any further conflicts. The other mob declined in a friendly manner, explaining that it was against their "contract" to form truces unless there was an intermarriage between the two mobs (as in, someone from our Mob married someone from their mob). So, no truce. But we could be friends! In fact, we decided to go to the anime viewing room together, and scope out cosplayers! So we stopped at the information booth to get freebies and the schedule on our way to doing just that. The information desk was this big wooden slab of a table, and very imposing-looking. I think there was a trophy deer head above it, too. O_o; We spotted some cosplayers, and headed off to the anime-viewing room, all chattering happily.
Then and only then it struck me (in the dream) what an incredibly lame Ring 2 it was going to be. The end.
Psycho much? XD
Anyway, Econ was uneventful, PE kind of sucked because I had cramps, lunch was full of glomps and such, Art was fairly boring, and English was very, very meh. I didn't get to go to Anatomy with Cody and Selah and Ari (KK was sick! ;_; Missed her muchly) because I went with Makayla after sixth period.
With her family, we stopped at the hardware store (I acted insane and played with everything in sight, confirming Makayla's idea that Pisces act like big children), the Union headquarters (to drop her Dad off--he works at the local newspaper), and SPD. Then we went back to Makayla's house and...basically just watched most of Loveless (episodes 1-9) for hours and ate Nutella. XD
I think it was a good experience watching Loveless again for me, because it was actually quite a bit better than I remembered it. And it helped me put some things in perspective, for whatever reason. Well, and we laughed and fangirled a lot. XD 'Twas fun.
Mom picked me up at eight and we went to Ralph's, even though I wanted to go straight home. ._.; Oh well--I got veggie sushi out of it. XD
And now it is wayyy past my bedtime, so I'd better go. Grr, and here I was planning on talking about some more interesting things.
