Ahh, back!

It's been quite a refreshing, if a bit unusual, weekend. :)

Not much to say about Friday... I ate cheesecake in English. It was really good. XD The picnic was successful and fun, although a little less...discussion-oriented than I was hoping. Oh well, it went well. Lots of craziness that I pretty much ignored (I was drawing/reading doujinshi for the majority of the time.)

Saturday was unusual--in a good way. Mom, Ryan, and I went to help with Hurricane Katrina efforts. Basically, for about three hours, we sorted clothes. Mountains of clothes. Sounds dull, but it actually was really fun, and it made me feel like a good person. XD There were about thirty people working with us, and in that three hours, we got SO much done. It was awesome, especially seeing as we were some of the last people still working. :) It was hard work, but oh-so-fulfilling.

After that, we went home for a while. I forget what I did exactly--I'm pretty sure it involved a much-needed shower and working on my Japanese homework (a unit on buying stuff...sounds like my type of discussion. XD). Once Mom was finished working with Rivi, we went to Roseville.

I was in a great mood for the whole trip--one of those enlightened, subdued happiness moods I get in. I think I love those moods more than any other mood I'm in. We listened to the first Wolf's Rain OST on the way, and I was completely absorbed in it. Strangers, in particular, gave me major shivers.

At Best Buy, I bought The Place Promised in Our Early Days. I was really happy they had it this time--last time, it was absent from the inventory, which was kind of disappointing. And--this is the awesome part--once I left Best Buy with The Place Promised in Our Early Days in hand, I looked up at the sky, where the sun was setting. I swear, it looked exactly like the sky in the movie I just bought. Exactly. (Not that I had seen the movie at this point, but going off the AMVs I had seen.) The deep, fulfilling happiness escalated. It was so beautiful.

I walked from Best Buy to Barnes and Noble, where I got in a discussion with a random n00b-otaku while in the manga-drawing section. XD I tried not to sound elitist, but it was hard not to... Especially seeing as she really *was* a n00b. Had been into anime about a month. Couldn't believe I've been drawing anime-style for about eight years. It was fun to talk to a fellow artist, though, even if she had little/no expertise. XD

I went to Michael's after that, and read books about drawing animals. :P The first one was actually interesting, but the second one... I'm a better artist than the person who wrote the book. So...um, yeah.

Yet another euphoria moment occured after being in Michael's, because I went outside and the sky was just...indescribable. There were these dark clouds, but they were rimmed with bright, flaming red, and there was one part of the sky where the dark clouds opened into this green/blue/yellow/PRETTY sky. I went crazy because I was so happy and started laughing and spinning (Cheza-style!). People were looking at me weirdly. Frankly, I was so happy I didn't care. XD The warm wind stroking my face while in the car between places was incredibly nice, too.

I went to the Galleria after that, where I ate rice, bought back the first Last Exile OST (finally! It's been about a year since it was stolen... >.>), and sat in massage chairs. For a very, very long time.

We went home after that, and that's pretty much all for Saturday. (...Darn. I forgot to watch the Naruto dub. Oh well. Would've ruined the happiness, anyway.)

This morning, I...uh... Well, I woke up at about 9:30 AM. I ate some random food for breakfast, watched a show on UFOs, and then one on scary killer hippos, and then, at 10:30 AM...went back to bed. For unknown reasons. Partly because the hippo show scared Ryan, and Mom made me turn it off. I thought I was just going to go lie down for 10-15 minutes...which didn't happen. In fact, I fell asleep and didn't wake up 'til 2:30 PM. >.> Oops.

I was planning on going to the Celtic Festival today, but...uh...I was confused for most of the day, so I never ended up going. I feel kind of bad about that--I missed it last year, too. So, instead I watched reruns of Law and Order for many hours. XD Go me! Cody called when he got back from Chamber Retreat, so I talked to him for a while, too. :) Dad picked me up at 6-ish, we picked Ryan up at Jake's (and saw a whole flock of wild turkeys on the way), and I got home and caught up reading my Friends List. Not too long after that, I called Cody, and he came over and watched The Place Promised in Our Early Days with me.

It's such a gorgeous movie. Everything about it is gorgeous--the animation, the music, the plot...everything. *_* It's very subdued, but in a wonderful way, and it makes me SO nostalgic, watching it. ♥ That's a high compliment--when a movie I've never seen makes me uber-nostalgic. Anyway, it was beautiful. I definitely recommend it.

Cody and I sat around for about a half hour, drawing, before he had to go home. And...that was my weekend. :D

As happy as I am, I think I caught a little cold. My hearing is a little muffled, and my nose is stuffed up a bit, too. -_- Darn it. I hope my body can fight it off before it gets worse...I want to fully enjoy fall!

That's all. I'm just burning stuff for people now. ^^; And eating ice cream...which probably isn't good for my cold, but I'll just have to live with the consequences. :P

Yay, you got it! (Both the Japanese and English names are too long for me. Wait, let me try. The Place Promised in Our Early Days and Yakusoku no Basho, Kumo no Mukou. Okay, not that long. XD [/random]) Now you must praise Kimi no Koe! XD;

I don't know if you've seen the Naruto dub epi where he stabs his hand on the way to Wave place, but it's SO. RETARDED. When he gets close to stabbing his hand, the screen flashes red, and then "they" are like, "Naruto, you got scratched by the water ninjas!" (or something) It was so horrible. ._.;

Ice cream is worth it. XD

Yes, I did! It's so beautiful... You'd love it. *_*

OMFG... I haven't been watching the dub lately, but... OMFG. I can't believe that. I talked to the localizer, and he *promised* us that the hand-stab would live. :O If I meet him again, he's getting lectured big-time.

Ice cream IS worth it.

I might just do that if he comes to AX again next year. He lies. *Hisses*

And here it was always the hand-stab scene they said would be left in! The nerve! What statement are they going to detract next? Haku's gender?!
