pacificpikachuHeh, for some reason I had forgotten that I have a DVD burner... KK, I'll give you back Yami no Matsuei very soon, seeing as I'm just burning it for myself. :P I might as well; I have the resources, and more than enough DVD-Rs! Call me over the weekend--we need to do something! Maybe you could come anime shopping with me on Sunday. :D
We rented Steamboy, mostly so I can drool over the animation again. It was awesome seeing it at AX on the big screen. Speaking of AX, I'm *hoping* to finish the AX Report soon. I feel so incredibly bad that I haven't done it yet... Like I'm less of a person or something.
I HATE HATE HATE DIAL-UP. My computer here is bbeing unusually temperamental, too.
OMG. This is random, but Ms. Parker dyed her hair FUSCHIA! Apparently she lost a bet with her class. How incredibly cool is that?! I haven't gotten to see it yet (woe and sadness ;_;) but I will on Monday.
Let's see. Today in a nutshell:
- Woke up late. Was dreaming, but I don't know what about, or even general mood or anything. Had to make my own lunch (OMGNOWAY) and wake up Dad. :O
- Did stuff for Mr. Baxter first period. Felt helpful. Critiqued freshmen art using technical terms to boost esteem.
- Discovered I can very easily sneak on to LiveJournal (or anything else, for that matter) during Econ class. Was thrilled.
- Pretended pathetically to play basketball. Mr. Humphers didn't notice that we were barely moving. In fact, he praised our hard work. Maybe PE isn't going to be so bad after all... I was even able to use my own combination lock. Shockingly skilled for me.
- Goofed around at lunch like usual--had fun. Hugged people. Was generally weird. :P
- Drew hands and faces in Art. Kathryn, Zoe, and I made fun of each other's hands. Makayla transferred into class! Yatta!
- Listened to people's writing all period in English. Read a really good poem, actually.
Got out of school, waited for Mom, talked to Makayla meanwhile. Had a very...odd...conversation. One part of it made Makayla laugh for about ten minutes straight. I'm not sure if it's really that funny (I think it was probably one of those "You had to be there" moments), but I'll post the snippet anyway.
Makayla: *Holds up picture of the guy from Ultimate Boyfriend* Ah, he's so hot! Fuck.
Me: *Completely serious* So...wait. Statement, and then appropriate course of action?
Makayla: *Thinks for a second and starts completely cracking up*
I think there's been something wrong with my brain today. Like...it's perverted in a clueless sort of way, or something. I'm not actually perverted, but I keep saying things that can be twisted out of perspective, and...well, the incident with the fan. :P Don't ask. See below entry. If you don't get it...you don't want to know. Like I said, something is wrong with me today.
After school, I didn't do a great deal. Mostly rode around town with Mom and watched Pokémon and talked to my birds/cat/dog/other creatures.
We went to the market today, and it took me quite a while to find my friends. I made a lot of cell phone calls to everyone, but no one answered. ;_; That's okay--I found Rae, and later I found Makayla, Chris, and other people, so then I was okay.
In fact, in Book Seller, I met a TON of otaku. LOTS. Mostly new Freshmen at NU, so I advertised the Anime Club and felt I was being a bit elitist. XD; I couldn't HELP it--they got the crazy idea that after Naruto Vol. 8, real people no longer draw the manga, and a computer automatically does it. ><; I had to explain to them that when Kishimoto says that it's being done on the computer, that doesn't mean he doesn't still draw it!
Anyway, they seemed nice enough regardless, and I'll make them into awesome, knowledgeable, wonderful otaku.
Found LOTS of other people from school who are also otaku who I've known for a while, and I got in some wonderful Wolf's Rain-related conversations. This took a few hours.
Then I got a coconut slushie, like always...and...stuff... Sorry, losing my train of thought/interest in writing about my day right now.
I present to you...
LIST OF SEXINESS
(Note: These are all shallow/weird/random sorts of things, and just my own opinions, too (obviously). I decided just to name little concrete-detail-esque things instead of actual bishounen or any emotional/personality-related things. It is for the sake of silliness.)
- Scruffy/Fluffy hair
- Boots (oversized/big ones in particular)
- Gloves (preferably fingerless)
- Goggles
- Collarbones
- Necks
- Being wet
- Shounen-ai (or ambiguous sexualities in general)
- Animal ears and/or tails

- Blood (only sometimes, though ^^;;)
- Creepy and/or strange eyes
- Jewelry of some sort in moderation (ear piercings, necklaces, etc.)

- Jackets
- Umbrellas
- Speech mannerisms/accents
- Mesh shirts (SHIKA!)
- Anbu outfits
- Chuunin vests (SHIKAx2!)

It is very preliminary right now, for the record. :P
That is all. I'm feeling weird. I need to do something relatively normal (by my standards) to feel less...messed-up? Or something? I don't know. Maybe I should make my bed and go to sleep. -_-

But, yeah, so far we're searching for an otaku club but we're not sure if there is any. Though today I should be scouting out and seeing what clubs they have available. I will be a sad, sad kunoichi if they don't have an anime club. They do in SF where that guy lives, but I bet not here ... dammit.

Actually, that shouldn't surprise me. Though seeing you dressed in all black with the Konoha symbol does make me worry about the nearby yaoi bishounen. The world would never be safe again if you knew NinJutsu and GenJutsu to capture the neighboring ukes.
