Pfft. This is so troublesome. *Shika-moment*

Well, I'm not going to write much for now, seeing as I have to start those book reports soon, but first I want to get caught up on my Friends list.

I'm slightly proud of myself because I was drawing yesterday. XD; I always feel proud after I draw, even if the drawings end up awful, just because I feel like I accomplished something noteworthy. I *finally* did a drawing of Shikamaru and...the Chuunin vest is painful to draw. X_x Meh, it turned out semi-okay from what I remember, but I haven't looked at it since the drawing was done. I did a deer standing behind him, because I'm beginning to realize that I don't like drawing people unless I can stick an animal or some animal ears on them. I put "...Feeding the deer is so troublesome..." as some sort of an explanation, because his family DOES raise deer, after all. I'll probably scan it later.

I also did a picture of Naruto holding a fox up to the camera and smiling, and I think it's rather cute. His grin still looks slightly creepy to me, but I like the non-realistic, slit-eyed fox putting its paw up. Will scan that later, too, once I fix up a few things.

Darn, going back to school is going to kill some of my drawing time, though I haven't drawn that much over the summer anyway and I'm taking Advanced Art this year.

I wanted to draw Yondaime, but I soon realized I'm going to have to print reference pictures in order to do that, seeing as I don't have any reference pictures of him outside of the artbook, which only has head-shots. x.x

Oh, I meant to ask you...why exactly is Shikamaru a maru? ^^; Or is that a plot focus later?

A maru? Like...circle? *Is confused* That's just his name. o_o As far as I know, there isn't much significance to the maru part... Shika because his family raises deer, and maru because...I don't know. XD;

When he's in his thinking stance, he puts his hands in the shape of a circle, though.

Well, "maru" also means like lord, as in Konohamaru and Sesshomaru. So I thought maybe he had some high class connection. XD

No, as far as I know, he's got a fairly normal-class family. I mean, they're well-known for the medicinal things that can be derived from the antlers of the deer, but he seems to live in a normal house and have a normal family.

I don't think he'd like it any other way. XD;; It'd be too "troublesome".
