Well, I had a good excuse for not writing yesterday. I had Zoe and Roya over, and we were very, very busy watching anime. ^^;;

Um...they came over after school yesterday (Mom picked us up), and dropped us off at Memorial Park for a while because Mom had a doctor's appointment to go to. We played on the playground for a while (being juvenile as we are XD), and Roya and I told Zoe a bunch of anime convention stories. We also talked a lot about shounen-ai (though neither Zoe nor Roya is actually into shounen-ai, they're tolerant of it), and joked rather loudly about weird things in anime plots.

After Mom picked us up after the doctor's appointment, we went to her house and played with the various animals.

Mom, however, had bad news. ;_;

Remember how my dove escaped the day before yesterday? Well, Tia somehow got a hold of him (whether he was alive or dead at that point, we don't know) and brought his dead body in. ;_; I don't know how he died--if Tia killed him, or if she just happened upon his body, but it was sad. Mom had me take his body out to the bushes to dispose of it, and I held him for quite a while before I put him in the bushes because his feathers were so soft and he somehow seemed alive still.

Anyway, I kind of just let go of the sadness because I had friends over and all, and we wandered the property for quite a while with Tia on a leash. Roya was trying to get Naruto spoilers out of Zoe and I, but instead we made up all these stupid things as "spolers" and cracked ourselves up. ("Oh, but that was before Sasuke started the apple orchard and took up knitting!" "And don't forget how moving the wedding ceremony for [insert entirely random characters] was!" "Actually, everyone marries everyone else.") Mom had to go to work, so Dad met us at the hospital, and when we got to Dad's we immediately started out anime-athon.

We watched, all in all, over yesterday and today: Escaflowne (1-14), which I am lovin' so far (Wow, it IS much better than the movie!) and I ♥ Van and I have many more comments to make but I'm not going to make them right now; lots and lots and lots of AMVs; Naruto 83-88 (Roya had left at this point); and Wolf's Rain 1 & 2.

It was much fun! We were up until 1:30 AM watching anime. Zoe and I kept teasing Roya because she kept referring to Kakashi as "Sensei" because she kept screwing up the pronunciation of Kakashi (more specifically, the stressing of the syllables). Also, Roya became weirdly obsessed with Dilandau, while I was obsessing on Van, and Zoe was obsessing on Allen. XD And I kept exclaiming things about the Escaflowne background music (Yoko Kanno!) or "OMG I know Van's seiyuu!" or "OMG Maaya Sakamoto does Hitomi's voice!" or "Ikue Ootani does Merle's voice!" or other random exclamations of that sort.

Roya had to leave earlier than Zoe (at 11:30 AM), and Zoe stayed until about 6 PM watching AMVs and such. Also, after seeing the first two episodes of Wolf's Rain and some AMVs, she's determined that Wolf's Rain may turn out to be one of her favorite anime of all time. XD Go me, converting more Wolf's Rain fans.

I feel slightly guilty that I missed Pokémon...but I was still sleeping when it was on, and I needed the sleep after staying up so late. ^^; I have it taped anyway, so I can watch it later today. :D

That's pretty much all I have to say right now. I need to go take a shower. @_@

Escaflowne was my first hardcore anime love, and Van-sama will always be my #1 bishounen. (We share a birthday. I STAKE MY CLAIM. <3)

Waaah, I got rid of my Van icon last week to make room for my summer!Ed icon. ;_;

Van is wonderful. :D Don't worry--I'm not that much as far as competition goes. XD I luff him, but you had him first and therefore he's yours forever. ♥ That's awesome you two have the same birthday!

The summer!Ed icon is cute, though. :)

I need a plush!Van so badly. :D

I completely disrupted my computer class the day I found that tidbit out. I didn't realize the little rolly-chairs could go over backwards. Um, whoops?

^_~ I can share, though. He needs LOTS of luvin' after the end of the show. ;_;

A plush!Van would be friggin' adorable. *_* I know I'd buy one in half a second...

XD That's brilliant about your computer class... Sounds like something I'd do. XDDD; I guess we're both dorky like that.

Ah, I'd be happy to share Van with you~! :D *Covers ears* Don't tell me what happens at the end, though. *Emits a high-pitched anti-spoiler screech*

I saw Escaflowne videos at the store, but the animation didn't look that good and I didn't want to get into a long anime series. Maybe it was just the cover, though.

Although I love anime, I don't think I could just sit and watch it for that many hours. XD I would have to have hyper time in there or something. XD

Escaflowne is an older series, and you have to get used to the noses (they're rather long), but it's an incredible series and actually has fairly good animation. It's a classic, and it's wonderful. It's 26 episodes.

We usually take breaks in the anime-athons to eat and talk and such. XD
