Today has been AWESOMENESS.
I have been forced to eat my words. Remember how two days ago, I said I didn't believe it was going to rain, because it was such beautiful spring weather?
Today from about 7:30 AM to 1 PM, it SNOWED like crazy. We all kept wanting school to be called off (especially after third period, which if it was canceled after that we wouldn't have to make it up), but it wasn't. ._. The snow was really thick and beautiful, though. Most of it stuck for a while (there was about an inch and a half of it), but then it started raining so now there's barely any left.
Anyway, I got to school earlier than usual and got to listen to the choir for at least twenty minutes. Nicole and Makayla were there, too, and Makayla was reading--*gaspshockandhorror* Fushigi Yuugi. Makayla and I spent the time before choir with me trying to talk her out of the bad shoujo unsuccessfully, while Nicole and I made "Aughhhh Fushigi Yuugi!" faces at each other. Nicole tried to argue with me that shoujo manga is better than shounen manga (this goes for manga only, though), but agreed that Fushigi Yuugi is bad. I'm neutral about the whole shounen/shoujo manga thing--while I despise most fluffy shoujo stuff, I adore Gravitation and such. I will admit shoujo storylines are more adapted to the manga storytelling style (action is just more fun when it moves).
During Creative Writing I was showing Rae my Last Exile postcards, and James came over and ended up talking to us for the rest of the period. He kept trying to diss anime, but I didn't care. He was being slightly more humble about dissing anime than usual, and was even being a little respectful about it. Sort of. Not really. Rae randomly decided she wanted to kill James, so the three of us held a conversation about how we were going to pull this off.
This is when James' HUGE ego came in. He started talking about how, basically, he didn't think we could kill him under any circumstances and spoke as if he was some sort of god. -_-;; Rae said she'd slit his throat. He said she couldn't, that it was harder than it looked and that he'd dodge. I said we'd drug him first by placing sleeping powder in his food. He said we couldn't get access to his food because we didn't know where he lived. We said we could find it out through "connections" (hell, I'm friends with his girlfriend after all). He said he'd find our connections through Google (WTF?!) and kill them. We said we had hidden connections that Google didn't know about. So on and so forth. It was pretty entertaining. XD
At some point, we decided his refutations were absolutely ridiculous and Ashlee intervened (after poking me in the arm with her pen several times) and said we'd just kick him in the crotch, because no guy is resistant to that. James wasn't listening by that point because he was too caught up in his own little ego-world.
During second period, I sat there guiltily and read DNAngel Vol. 7 in Japanese while most of the other people in the class read their interviews with people from the 1930's aloud to the class. I didn't do it, but Mr. Ostrom didn't even notice. XD Go me. I might do it this weekend, though. If I feel like it.
In third period, we watched an awesome movie about brain tumors and the treatments doctors are working on. It was really interesting and I wish I had had the time to watch the end, because I want to know what happened to the patients. ;_; We were all hoping school would be cancelled, but it wasn't. The snow was flurrying crazily outside and it was kind of crazy walking from class to class.
I got a lot of attention because I was in shorts and a t-shirt as usual, and no jacket to speak of. I did have my umbrella, though. I was practically asking for attention, too, because I also had a Pokémon shirt on. No one cares any more, though, because everyone at my school is pretty tolerant and I wear Pokémon shirts all the time.
TA period...average, as far as I remember. Rory, Angela, and I had to count hundreds and hundreds of little patch thingies for the school sports, and Rory and I got in a climactic game of Roh-Sham-Boh (I have NO idea if that's how you spell it) for who had to count the last hundred. I lost after about five draws in a row. ._.;
Lunch was kind of lonely because all of concert choir (which many of my friends are in, including Cody, KK, and Selah) was gone at 7 Hills for the afternoon. Instead, Marina-tachi was in there with us and there was a rather...odd...conversation that went on all throughout lunch. Apparently, Nolan (or however you spell his name) had Nicole's "virginity" (some sort of object that was labelled Nicole's virginity) and he sold it to Marina in exchange for a cookie. XD Nicole was offended by this, and spent much of lunch trying to get it back. Some other guy (I forget who) was trying to buy it off of Marina for M&Ms, but she didn't want to so she stuck it in her bra.
It was retarded, but kind of funny.
Trig was uneventful and just fine. :)
English...we continued reading Ender's Game, which you already know I like from the previous several days' entries.
After school, there was a hilarious fight...thing between KK and Joey. It was sooo entertaining. It started out with KK and Joey playing some sort of hand game (of those ones where you try to slap the other person's hand). It got very heated, and ended up being an argument about government systems that involved them yelling insults at each other. XD "Being a conservative makes you ugly!" said KK. "Well, you're a hippie!" said Joey.
After 15-20 minutes, it dissolved back into the slap game. XD
Bryce then started talking about how cute the "lover's quarrels" were, and wondering how the children would look. (UGHHHH...EWWWW!) Thus, KK and Joey forgot their differences for a second to beat up Bryce and get him to shut up. Obviously, it's not true--KK is awesome, and Joey is annoying/rejected/irritating, and their relationship consists only of, "Let's yell at each other as a debate warm-up!"
I stood out in the semi-cold waiting for Mom for a while, and eventually she picked me up. I got a veggie wrap at Grinder's and a hot chocolate at Caroline's while we were killing time before picking Ryan up. Once this was accomplished, Mom dropped Ryan and I off at Dad's, where we discovered that UPS tried to deliver our new computer and failed because we weren't home. ._.;
That's okay, because when Dad came home he coordinated an effort and pinpointed where the computer was, so we went and picked it up at the UPS facility we didn't even know was there by the recycling center. So--YAY--we have a brand new computer! It's not hooked up yet, but I can't wait. ^_^ 19" flat screen! w00t!
We picked up Tanner in Alta Sierra for Ryan to play with, Ryan went to his guitar lesson for a while, and Dad and I drove around listening to music. Dad absolutely adores Wolf's Rain OST 2, too. ^_^ Dad also switched CD players with me for a totally awesome CD player that displays the name of the song you're listening to, and gave me $25 (he decided he wanted to buy Wolf's Rain Vol. 6 for me).
So...now I'm sitting here and I'm in a great mood. I think I'll order the new Last Exile artbook and the Claus keychain with my $25 spending money. :D It has been an AWESOME day!

Date: 2005-04-09 06:00 pm (UTC)Ah, Eva is cool. Not as good as RahXephon (in my opinion), but great nonetheless. :)
Oh--and I have a new computer now, so, if time allows, I *might* be able to do some drawings. I've been extremely busy lately, though, so I'll consider it if I get a chance, okay?

Date: 2005-04-09 02:59 pm (UTC)I don't really mind FY, but Tomo is hilarious! *dolphin laugh*
That is kinda funny about Nicole's virgity. XD That reminds me of how people think meh flower of love is supposed to symbolize my virginity, when it doesn't really represent anything except that it's frosh and senior colours. XD
Oooh, fights are so fun. ^^;
Yay for a new computer! I need a new one down here...well, at least an external HD.
I'm glad you had a good day! *hugs* ^_^
