No apologizing for the last few days from me. I've been so busy I haven't even checked my e-mail! :O Of course, with the Gatsby party, Anime Overdose, and Nicole's birthday party literally one after the other, what can you expect?

You will be getting detailed descriptions of the convention and events surrounding it tomorrow. Possibly the next day, too, because I may have to split it into parts. It was a BLAST, in short. XD Soooo much fun. Busy and tiring, but absolutely thrilling. I'd say probably my third favorite convention I've been to, after AX and Fanime.

That said, today has been a little on the odd side.

I woke up and decided to do a semi-cosplay-thingy at school. In my attire were my neko ears, whiskers painted on my face, my Naruto headband (around my neck), and a Naruto (Konoha symbol) necklace with my chibi Sasuke figure attached to it. XD Much fun. I rocked out in the car and had a great time.

I gave Makayla back her CDs (she left them at my house during the convention), and...I forget what happened before school, other than that. I kept getting weird looks for my costume, but I got even more compliments than I did weird stares. XD

Creative Writing... We're doing ghostwriting next, so I have to enlist one of my friends to help with that. I'm thinking I'll ask Cody if he wants to work with me on that. We'll see. Anyway, I finished those infinity symbols from months ago. There are now probably 100,000 (if not more) infinity symbols on that piece of paper. Also, my Pikachu and Raichu backpack's zipper broke so I couldn't close the backpack and I was very sad and confused about what to do. ;_; I carried it around for a while, but it's heavy...

Second period we mainly talked about whether or not the US should step in and help other countries. I wasn't participating in the conversation because I was too busy chatting with Molly's Japanese exchange student in Japanese. I think she was glad to be able to talk to someone in her own language for once, as Molly speaks no Japanese whatsoever. She noticed the Naruto headband around my neck and made a gesture showing what she was looking at, so I asked her, "Naruto ga suki desu ka?" She smiled and went "Hai!" so I showed her my little chibi Sasuke and we squealed "KAWAII!" together. XD Some things are just universal. It was fun.

In Anatomy we had a quiz. I did pretty well...7/8. ^_^ Erin and I talked for a long time about anime conventions while we did a worksheet, and I told her about all of the funny stories from the con from last weekend. XD More on those tomorrow (or whenever I get the time).

Erin fixed my backpack! YAY! ^_^ So now it's back to working.

During my TA period, I did NOTHING but study for my math test. I was nervous by then about it.

Lunch...erk. Nothing much happened, to be honest. We wandered around the room, I talked to Zoe, and such. KC brought her laptop and was watching some very...interesting...little videos. XD People dancing strangely and such. Stupid but entertaining.

During math... *WHIMPER* We had our test.

I feel so incredibly awful about it. I've had a low A/high B in the class all of last semester. So far in this semester, I have an abysmal F. ;_: *Sob sob* I really do feel awful about it, too. I've studied, I've talked to my teacher, I just can't seem to understand this chapter. And it's not like I haven't tried... I have. I'll be surprised if I get 20% on this last test. No exaggeration. And it's a huge test, too.

So...I was depressed all of English about my math test. -_- We didn't do much anyway.

Melanie picked me up (originally, I was going to see if I could go with Cody, but I didn't see him in the middle room, so I scratched that idea) because Mom was at a meeting with work. We picked up her daughter Chloe, and then picked Ryan up, and she dropped us off at Dad's (Mom's working tonight).

I checked a couple of websites briefly, then headed off to Nicole's.

The surprise in the surprise party was ruined because Nicole's mom didn't have the willpower to hide it from her, but it was still SO much fun.

I got there at about 4:20 PM and sat on the trampoline [sp?] with Nicole, Marina, Alyssa, Nicole's exchange student, and more as people arrived, and we explained extremely strange things to Tomo. XD He seems to be taking our weirdness kind of in stride. I think he has had one of the most...unique and odd experiences of any exchange student...ever. No joke. Marina demonstrated what rape was (jokingly, of course), and then we explained in broken Japanese the meaning of "creepy" and then proceeded to point at everyone and accuse them of being creepy.

The guys did lots of awesome flips on the trampoline that looked very anime-ish while we ate pizza and drank fruit punch, and once we went inside because it was getting dark, the real chaos erupted.

There was yaoi. There was yuri. There was crossdressing. XD

First Thomas and Mike kissed, but we weren't in the room. Nicole and I whined about this so much that we talked Cody into kissing Eric (NOT Erik...a different one). On the lips. Right in front of me. XDDD

After that, there was a crossdressing explosion. All of the guys (Cody excepted, for whatever reason) dressed up in dresses, skirts, anything they could find. They looked hysterical. We even talked Thomas into posing on the couch to show Nicole's mom. I'm not sure if Nicole's mom even saw it, though... I can't remember.

The point is that it was funny and the exchange students were confused and genuinely amused at the same time. They kept laughing at us.

Also, might I note, this was all entirely fun and playful, and somehow managed to not be sexual. Not to mention that we're all straight, and about half of us are ONLY attracted to anime characters. XD

At some point and for unknown reasons, Nicole kissed Alyssa, too. XD

There were also fights with heart-shaped balloons, mild helium inhaling (though I didn't), the AWFUL playing of violins from people who shouldn't play violins, and the eating of cake/ice cream/pie. And LOTS of hugs. And much, much more.

Erm...yeah. Left at 8 PM-ish, said bye to everyone who was still there, and now I'm typing this, and Ryan's YELLING at me to get off the computer, so I'd better.

Con details soon hopefully. Ja ne! I need to study for my Anatomy test so it doesn't turn out like my math test. -_-

Hey there!

Sorry I haven't e-mailed you back yet-- my little brother kicked me off right as I was going to e-mail you back.

So...I'll e-mail you when I get home, okay? I have a loooong LJ post to make tonight, so I'll probably write your e-mail while I'm doing that. XD *Multi-tasker*

TOMO. XXXXDDXD

But moreso... YAAAAAY! yuri/yaoi/shoujo-ai/shounen-ai = my favourite thing since raw raumen. That sounds completely awesome. I really wish I could've been there. *volunteers to provide yuri* I must say, that's one of the most fantastic things in the world, I can't say so enough.

I am sucking at my math class (Honors Geomtry), too, this quater, so don't feel bad. ;_; We can be math buddies.

Oh, and I'm so sorry I didn't call you before this weekend. My mom fell asleep on friday night, which I'm unhappy with her for. Still, I must hear about the con (and know all the cosplayers you glomped)! When's the next con you're going to?
