Fairly typical day. Kind of.

I spent a good majority of today griping, moaning, ranting, and angsting about the whole Naruto licensing thing. I got a little of my frustration out that way, but the depression is coming and going in waves. Pathetic, isn't it? I know it's not even *THAT* big of a deal, but it feels like it is. ;_;

WAHHHH. T_T

Anyway, let's move on for a moment, shall we?

Before school, John was recording the choir singing on a little portable recorder he brought to school, and then playing it for us in fast-forward. It sounds hilarious that way. David's Lamentation and Back in the USSR, in particular. XP Later on in the day, he recorded himself singing a made-up song about Mr. Baggett being bald and played it in fast-forward, and he sounded like a chipmunk on acid. XD Especially when, at one point, he started laughing manaically. We should make a flash video of a character singing that--it's priceless.

During Creative Writing, Rae and I were trying to figure out what the exchange students were up to, as they were conspiring about something about three feet away from us. From what we gathered, it involved boys and sex, so we were like O.O "Bad exchange students! What were you thinking?!" It was all joking, of course, but they blamed it on America. XD Ah, the corruption. Go figure. Rae agreed with me (based off my drawing) that Sasuke is cute. I proceeded to disturb her slightly by going on about how they're twelve but it's impossible to resist them anyway. XD It sounded more wrong than it actually is (they are just anime characters, after all).

In US History, we had a presentation to do in groups of four that involved defining three words. As there were three words and four people, I ended up just going up in front of the class with the other people in my group and standing there aimlessly while they defined the words. I watched our rather uninterested audience. It was very anticlimactic.

Anatomy...nothing interesting happened in Anatomy. Erin cursed me over my Sasuke drawing (apparently, joking jealousy, though the Sasuke drawing is hardly impressive at all), and we took notes on digestion.

In my TA period, I got my first tip that didn't involve me begging for it. XD A girl just randomly gave me a quarter after asking if there was a tip jar. I happily accepted it, although we're not allowed to accept tips. Who cares anyway? Angela helped me in the Student Store because Rory wasn't there again. Angela and I concluded that, based off the arrangement of the candy on this particular day (some of the Snickers weren't near the other types of Snickers), the apocalypse is coming. After 4th lunch ended, I vacuumed and cleaned off tables and other such exciting things. Then I attacked my Sasuke drawing with an eraser. Sasuke is fun to draw--I have the creepy feeling I'm going to become so fixated on drawing him repeatedly, I'm going to forget to draw other characters. I hope not, as I have lots of characters I want to draw.

During Lunch, Nicole and my daily routine was interrupted by Mr. Baggett kicking everyone out of the middle room so the sopranos could practice in it. Nicole and I wandered over to Marina, said hello to her (she, apparently, concluded that Cody's germs are an STD, for some unknown reason. Nicole and I countered that if Cody's germs were deadly, we'd be long dead. It was a weird, random conversation.). Then we went into the art room and mingled with Makayla, Kathryn, Zoe, Erin, Bee, Ciera, etc. I ranted a lot about Naruto, Makayla and I listened to a bunch of Ayumi Hamasaki songs (and I sang along ^^), and Nicole had us modeling our hands for a drawing she decided to do in the last ten minutes of lunch.

Trig was, to be honest, completely awful. I bombed the quiz even worse than I thought I did, and to top it all off, I can’t say I really understood the topic we went over. Homework’s going to be tough tonight. I hope this unit clicks in my brain soon, because I’m pretty much flailing helplessly at this point. And this is a class I was an A-/B+ student in for the whole first semester. ;_;

English was a big cheer-up, though. Instead of the usual discussions and things, Mr. Cartan had us do a poster on Sun Also Rises. Basically, all we had to do was get in groups and write or draw anything on a big piece of paper that we can think of relating to the novel. I teamed up with Kelsey and Kate (a great artist in my class), and the three of us had a blast writing and drawing fun randomness. I got to draw bulls, wine glasses, stuffed dogs, streetlamps, taxis, boats, tennis rackets, books, and about twenty other things. Everyone in the class was envious of our poster because it was so chaotic and artistic. XD The paper was almost completely filled up with symbols and words.

I felt a bit better for a while after that.

Then I was talking to KK about Naruto, and I got all depressed again, and now it’s coming and going. *Sniff* I wish I could just buy the rights to all of the anime I like and do whatever I wish with those rights. I know I’m not the most knowledgeable or loyal Naruto fan (having liked it for about three weeks now, as compared to most Naruto fans’ several years), nor do I pretend/wish to be (unlike with many of the anime I get into), but I still feel really deeply about this licensing thing. T_T

…Tell me when I get too irritating about it, okay? I think I’m going to be ranting about this for a while.

Anyway, I think one of the main reasons I’ve gotten so upset about it is that I just, *just* got to the point where I feel I’m a solid fan, I can admit I’m addicted and obsessed and in love with the show. Then they jump this on me and it doesn’t feel like I’m in control any more… I LIKED the fact it wasn’t licensed here. I LIKED the fact that it was only in Japan with the exception of fansubbers and the manga. ;_; Anyway, I’d better leave now. I’ve been ranting about this so much my Dad was going, “Naruto, Naruto!” randomly while he was doing the dishes. XD;; Bye bye!

Sasuke is smexy. X3 I know, I know--I'm a terrible person. He's twelve. I don't care. He is. He'd be hard to get along with, though, as he's not the nicest person on the planet. ^^;; I want to stalk him, nonetheless.

My parents talk about anime quite a bit. My Dad tries to impress me by saying random anime titles or character names that have nothing to do with anything. It's funny. XD

Dad: "Escaflowne!"
Me: "Yes... What about Escaflowne?"
Dad: "...I dunno. I just like the word. It's a movie, right?"
Me: "Yep! Who does the music?"
Dad: "Yoko Kanno!"
Me: "Good job!"
