Jan. 13th, 2005 04:01 pmEep! Another skipped entry!
Nicole and I went to a choir concert last night at Bear River, which was lots of fun.
I've also officially decided I'm a baka. XD Get this:
So, Nicole and I (and my Dad and Ryan, but we wandered away from them anyway to hang out with the choir) arrived at Bear River, found spots for ourselves, and went over to mingle with our choir friends. Cody was standing with his back facing us, unaware that we were there. Well, naturally my reaction was "GLOMPING OPPORTUNITY!", because that is my normal reaction to friends standing there unaware that you are behind them. So, I start running towards him and begin the leap--and then my ankle gives out and I crumple to the ground directly behind him. XD XD XD Painful, yes, but quite funny. Even a second afterwards, I managed to say, "Graceful, aren't I?"
I wish someone had been taping that. It was priceless.
So, I sat on the ground for a while and recovered. The ankle was pretty okay after about five minutes, so I managed to hobble back to our seats and watch the concert all right.
The concert was awesome-- the Bear River choirs performed for about three songs (my Dad's former girlfriend's daughter Emily is in the Bear River choir, which is how Dad originally found out about the concert.), then our own NU choir, and then an excellent college choir (on tour--several of them stayed at Cody's house) who performed a wide range of interesting songs.
Anyway, then we talked to our friends briefly (Dad wanted to go home), went back home, I went online briefly, and I went to bed.
I got a ride from Nicole's mom to school because Dad had a meeting for work at 5:30 AM. -_-; I got up at 6:10 AM, was actually quite awake, and went to wait outside. The stairs were dangerous because they were icy and my ankle still hurt, but I managed to clamber down them okay.
When Nicole and I arrived at school, we did the usual--watched the Chamber Choir perform. They were doing this song called "Granny, Does Your Dog Bite?" and at one point in the song they all have to say "Gobble gobble gobble" for a long time. For some reason (perhaps because it was just plain too early), this sent Nicole and I into hysterics. I mean, it wasn't even that funny, but...we just have a weird sense of humor. XD
In Creative Writing, I again dodged the fact that I didn't do my paper. I spent the whole period reading The Great Gatsby, in fact. I'm only supposed to be on Chapter 3, but I'm already halfway through Chapter 7. Mr. Cartan told me when he gave me the book, "Now, don't read it too fast, okay?" (because I finished Beloved almost a month before the rest of the class). So much for that... -_-;
US History, I sat aimlessly and was bored. Mr. Ostrom's just preparing the class for the final anyway. I don't have to take the final, so that leaves me with nothing to do. I'm going to bring my Leaf Green tomorrow, I think...
In Anatomy, I completely forgot we were having our final. :O I think I did okay, though, even though I got in possibly one minute of studying (literally). I'm thinking I got a low B on it, which is fine with me... I hope I'm right. I didn't even notice Erin was there for abourt a half hour (<.<) because she sat in a different place than she normally does.
TA period was rather dull because I was limping and didn't want to deliver stuff. While Rory and I were selling food, though, we disturbed the customers by asking them if they wished to buy a choquito. (Chocolate + Taquito = choquito) This served no purpose other than confusing people, but it was kind of funny to watch their expressions.
Math was math.
English, we discussed Gatsby the whole period.
And that was my day.
I have a story and an essay to write by Monday. :O The essay I'm probably going to start tonight, and the story...is wickedly cool so far. XD It's about this group of housecats who have a religious cult in the forest at night, and every year they sarifice something. This something can be as small as a cricket or as large as one of their own kittens, depending on how the year went and whether they feel they need to win the favor of the Gods. One of the cats named Paluu, however, is really extreme in his religion and trying to gain power so he suggests that they try sacrificing something different...the human child that lives in his household. It's seriously messed up, but I love it. XD I hope Mrs. McDaniel doesn't send me to a mental asylum or anything by the end of the year... My stories keep getting more and more twisted.
Aaand I've just effectively frozen myself by eating some ice cream, so I think I'm going to go sit by the fire and formulate ideas for my essay.
Ja ne!
Sorry about no comments or reading of journals--finals are burning up my time.

Date: 2005-01-14 02:49 am (UTC)I love disturbing people with explainations of yaoi terms and showing them characters of ambiguous gender. XD Toquitos sounds like the grossest thing since elder Toguro. O_o
