HAPPY HOLIDAYS! *Throws Confetti*
Dec. 24th, 2004 11:05 amI don't know if I'll get to make another entry before Christmas, so I'll just wish you all happy holidays in this entry. ^_^
Yesterday was another great day with my friends. For the longest time, the plan was just "anyone can come over to my house at any time", but it was funny, because Nicole, Cody, Nate, and Makayla all showed up at my house at virtually the same time. ^^ Well, Nicole brought Cody and Cody brought Nate, but that's not the point. Makayla showed up right around then, too. XD
Then we all sat around in my room, giggled about the (now-finished) Toboe in a fuku, watched several AMVs on the TV in my room, and...um...just had random conversations and drew in my sketchbook that is reserved for all of my friends to draw in. Those few things kept us occupied for hours.
The general consensus regarding Toboe in the schoolgirl outfit was that he looked adorable, but his skirt was too short. XD XD XD I was begged by...everyone in the room, I think, to make it longer. I did--minorly. Like, an inch if it was a real skirt. About a millimeter longer on paper. XD I'm terrible.
As another note, wolves are difficult to draw when wearing schoolgirl outfits. It's weird figuring out where the clothes wrinkles are suppposed to be, and his hind legs were particularly difficult to draw with a skirt over them. I drew a chibi Tsume (in wolf form) in the corner of the picture, staring at Toboe in the schoolgirl outfit with a MASSIVE sweatdrop.
Anyway, at about 7 PM-ish (?) Cody gave everyone rides home, and I sat around and watched two or three episodes of Gravitation, and then two or three episodes of Wolf's Rain. Then, for some reason I felt like writing in kana was appropriate, so I wrote a bunch of nonsense a notebook. I could've actually translated something instead (or found something else helpful and Japanese-related to do), but no. Instead I sat there and wrote random sentences that have nothing to do with anything. I think I went to bed after that...
The plan for today and tomorrow is as follows-- go to Mom's, get presents ready and such, drive to Davis (about an hour drive-- listening to random anime music, hopefully), have dinner at my uncle/aunt/cousins' house with most of my Mom's side of the family (excluding anyone who lives halfway across the country), open presents, then come back here to Nevada City/Grass Valley.
Sleep.
Go to Dad's house, get presents ready and such, drive down to the Bay area (about a three hour drive-- possibly listening to random anime music if I can talk Dad out of his music), have dinner at my Grandma's house with my Dad's whole side of the family, open presents, drive back home.
Lots of driving. Most people would hate it, but I think it'll be fun.
Anyway, I hope you all have happy and safe holidays! Spend lots of time with your family and friends, enjoy the holiday, get cool presents, run around acting crazy. Okay, only do the last one if you can get away with it. I'll be sure to think of you all during the fun holiday chaos. Love you all!

Date: 2004-12-25 07:15 pm (UTC)Your parents tolerate anime music? My mom does, and she even likes a few songs, but my dad HATES it. I think it's mostly because he can't understand the lyrics. I can never listen to Japanese music for very long in the car unless I bring my portable CD player with headphones. <_< Well, we're going to listen to anime music on the 3+ hour drive to Ohayocon, so my mom will have to deal. ^_^ I think she'll be overwhelmed by all the anime there. Heck, I might be, too. o.o I like long drives, as long as the sun isn't low in the sky and we're not driving around my city. XD You must post Toboeko ASAP! XD; I imagined him with a long skirt, but I'd like to see a short one, too. ^^; Oh, writing random kana is quite fun.

Date: 2004-12-27 09:27 pm (UTC)My Mom, without hesitation, went, "It's from Gravitation, right? I can tell by the singer." *Applauds* Go Mom!
I'll post Toboe-chan whenever I can, okay?
