pacificpikachuI just watched Hikaru no Go episodes 1-6. Awww, it's so cute (n_n)--and now I want to learn how to play Go. I think I've figured out basically how the game goes from what I've seen so far, but now Nicole and I are determined to learn it well. Cute anime is fun. Sai is hilarious. Hikaru and Akira are adorable. Tsutsui (I hope I'm remembering his name right!) reminds me creepily of a chibi Sakano-san. O_o; It also cracks me up that Hikaru's family name is Shindou. That's Shuichi's family name, too. XP And Hikaru even had the angsty scene with the umbrellas and the rain and it was almost exactly like in Gravitation! OMG FREAKOUT! Now he has to find a blonde, dark-past-ish writer to fall in love with and he has to suddenly decide to become a singer.
...Which is funny to think about. X3 I can just picture Hikaru singing Rage Beat.
Eeep! I have my Japanese final on Monday, and I need to study. I also forgot my 100-point project based off of Indian Creek Chronicles (a board game) at school, so I can't work on it over the weekend. The problem? It's about 15% done and due on Monday. ._.;; I hope Mr. Cartan forgives me for my stupid mistake and lets me turn it in Tuesday.
Mom took us out to dinner at the Holbrooke Hotel on Thursday night and I spent the entire time talking about Darcia losing his sanity as Wolf's Rain went on. Quite an interesting dinner topic, if you ask me. Mom was also reading manga a little bit while we were waiting for dinner to come, and she actually kind of liked it. ^^;;
Oh, the Pokémon episodes today were fun. ^^ Lisa Ortiz did Flannery's voice, though, and I think they use Lisa Ortiz too much. ._.; Also, does anyone know why she called both her Magcargo and her Slugma "Mag"? Were Nicole and I just being delusional because we just woke up? Overheat was cool looking. I remember before Ruby and Sapphire came out in the US, I had the Japanese version and it took me about ten tries to beat Flannery in that particular game. It was pathetic because I started with Mudkip, and therefore shouldn't have had a problem. Darn Overheat. >.<
Nicole spent the night last night (we tried to rope Cody into coming, too, but he was hanging out with his sister and didn't want to come). For some reason, she fell asleep before 10 PM, which is unusual for her (she's a total night owl), after we did some drawings, watched AMVs on the TV, and wondered whether Mew is white or pink. I insisted that Mew is white with a slight sheen of pink in the right lighting, and Nicole insists that Mew is light pink. Then we both slept in until about 8:30 AM, which is late considering we get up at 6:30 AM on weekdays.
Nicole and I have concluded we probably need to go to Shounen-Ai Anonymous or something. This is really messed up. We now relate EVERYTHING to Seme/Uke. I mean *EVERYTHING*. It's seriously not healthy when you're sitting there wondering about who would be seme if Thomas/Cody (or would is be Cody/Thomas?) were to happen. They're not even anime characters! They're not even gay or bi! They're our friends!! I think something is seriously wrong with us. ._.;;
Anyway. *Cough* I'm not perverted. I'M NOT! I swear solemnly to this. Anime just kind of warps my mind sometimes. *Points at Tatsuha/Ryuichi because she randomly decides that it's all that particular pairing's fault*
Oh, and how am I so obsessed with shounen-ai? I support a total of three shounen-ai pairings that I can think of (not including one-sided ones). Yuki/Shuichi, Tsume/Toboe, and Tatsuha/Ryuichi. I shouldn't be this engrossed with it.
Oh well. I'm just confusing myself here. @.@
I did a pretty picture of a realistic wolf last night with pen. I like it, even though several things are slightly off anatomy-wise. I couldn't fix anything about it because I did it in pen in about 15-20 minutes. Once I get the digital camera working (*growls*), I'll have to post some pictures.
Nyaa. I feel like rambling insanely about something, but I can't think of anything to insanely ramble about right now.
..TRF-Chan and Hitchi, you're lucky you're able to write such long entries lately. ;_; I've been so busy, but I want to write long nonsensical posts about weird things.

Date: 2004-11-20 02:30 pm (UTC)Your mom likes manga...not fair. I showed her this one manga based off a Hans Christian Anderson story, and she said it was "terrible" because they girl died. Well, that's what frickin' happened in the original story! She fails to believe me when I tell a manga is powerful, moving, or intense.
Yeah, Lisa Ortiz was her voice, which made me happy. (Not *some* people, though.) I don't think they use her a lot, I can't remember the last time I heard her in Pokémon. Of course, I've missed about a half dozen episodes of AG. My brother also asked why she called them both Mag. I'm awaiting an answer at BMG, of anyone knows or has an idea.
I remember when I was all uke/seme. I don't remember why or what I did, but I just eased out of it eventually, so don't let it trouble you. I think I just ran out of (femme)slash ships I support/tolerate or something. XD And I can't wait to see your pics!
