pacificpikachuI'm SO mad.
We have this absolutely beautiful baby Arabian horse at our house, and his owner is talking about having him put down because she doesn't want to pay for his vet bills. She was even talking about having it done TODAY. The problem is, one of his testicles isn't descended, which means it'll be a fairly expensive surgery to have him gelded. We've talked to one rescue place and several Arabian breeders so far, and no one wants him unless he's gelded and halter-broken (he isn't either). We're currently trying to find more alternatives.
She'd better not be serious. Life is more precious than any amount of money, if you ask me, and this little guy has his whole life ahead of him. He's not even sick or hurt or anything. Mom's saying she has to move Rocco, her other horse, if she does such a horrible thing.
Hoping for the best. We're trying everything we can to talk her out of it. Wish us luck. There's got to be SOMEBODY out there who wants to save him...
