So much for "I don't read fanfiction on my Mom's computer." I was up 'til one or two in the morning last night reading Naruto fanfics...again. *Addicted* There are so many good ones out there! It makes my fangirl heart flutter. I need to start my own fanfic someday... I got a few sentences, but I'm not sure if they'll lead the way I want them to at the pace I want them to.

So, Nicole, Cody, and I went down to Roseville today to see Howl's Moving Castle. :D Excitingness!

Nicole came over at about 11:40 after her voice lesson, and she was having me listen to Avenue Q songs in my room while we waited for Cody. At 12:30, he still hadn't shown up, so we were forced to call him and request his presence. We both gave him HUGE hugs when he walked in the door, and we sat on my couch and looked at his awesome Spain pictures until it was time to leave. Man, those cathedrals are *gorgeous*. He also got some really funny pictures--like Mr. Baggett's head, people sleeping in compromising situations, and various other things I can't remember. XD;; Loved 'em.

He also brought me a Hamtaro pin from Spain, which caused giggling for a very long time. (We have this in-joke that Hamtaro-tachi are the minions of the devil, and I'm fighting a losing battle of addiction with the big-eyed hamsters. This is actually not true... At least, not really. I mean, I did play the video game all the way through, and I know the Japanese opening and ending theme by heart, but I can't even sit through an episode of the show. XD;;) So that was extremely funny, and I'll probably put it on my bag with all my other pins. ^^;;

We began watching Naruto a little before we left, and then continued it in the car. Cody was there, and he's only on episode 30-something, but he watched the episodes with us anyway. XD They're so far ahead it's hard to really call them spoilers... We were watching episodes 123-126, which are, of course, excellent episodes. I can't wait to watch episodes 132-135 with Nicole, so she can join KK and I in the ranks of SasuNaru love. She keeps trying to justify NejiNaru now, just because I brought up the fact that it has lots of fans (which I'm not sure I think it deserves at all...). XD;

We got to the theater almost precisely on time, so we rushed out, bought tickets, bought some candy and soda with the remaining money, and seated ourselves about four or five rows back. There weren't a lot of people, and most of the people there were families, but there was a group of about five fellow otaku, too. Of course, we didn't notice them until during the credits, so we didn't get to talk to them or anything.

Anyway, I *loved* Howl's Moving Castle! It was so entertaining (we laughed most of the way through), beautiful, and well-done! And of course, Howl himself... *cough* Very, very pretty. Nicole and I started giggling fangirlishly virtually every time he came on screen. My little brother kept asking us why we were laughing, but we never did answer him on that one.

The scarecrow also made us laugh every time it was on screen, just because of the way it boinged up and down all the time. XD

And I loved the dog! Heen, is that his name? He was so cute in such a weird way, and I loved the noises he made and the way he moved. His feet were so funny, and he was just...so cute! I want a plushie of him or something.

My favorite scene was Howl's temper tantrum, because it was just... XDDD;; Especially when the towel fell off. OMG. So funny!

All the scenes involving the shooting stars were beautiful...and Howl's flower garden was... *_* Majorly.

Nicole, Cody, and I got all excited when we heard Crispin Freeman, especially because Nicole and I had just been talking to him ten days ago. XD;; Awesomeness. Also, we saw GONZO listed in the credits, and I know a lot of people from GONZO, too.

When it ended, we wanted it to rewind and start over again. XD So we kept yelling, "Rewind! Rewind!"

That was when we realized the other otaku people were there, because they laughed at our "rewind!" exclamations and recognized GONZO, too. And one of the girls had a Fruits Basket bag, but it wasn't really a situation were it would've worked to socialize with them, so we didn't talk to them at all.

Anyway, long story short, I loved it muchly. XD; 'Twas wonderful. Very, *very* different from the book, but not in a bad way at all. Just...a great movie. Maybe not as affecting as Spirited Away for me, but wonderful nonetheless.

Then we watched more Naruto and some AMVs on the way back, Cody and Nicole left, and I spent most of the rest of the day watching shows on the paranormal. Well, and I did a little Health... >< I despise that course.

I also got my next Japanese course in the mail today! I'm excited. ^^ Especially seeing as the first section of it is on weather-related words, and I knew every *single* word on the list. Which is like, thirty words, at least. XD This made me happy. Looking over the course also made me realize just how well I know hiragana now. I can read it almost as fast as English. @_@

My room is burning up. ._.;; It's been so hot and icky lately... I hate this weather. ._.

Oh, I forgot to mention that a few days ago I saw War of the Worlds. I actually really liked it--it was epic and awesome and very suspenseful. It also had a lot of great imagery in it (the bodies coming down the river, the clothes falling from the sky, etc.), and fairly good writing. It was just...cool! And this is saying a lot coming from me, because I'm a *tough* critic. It kind of freaked out my Mom and little brother, though. XD The only letdown was the ending, which was...an okay concept, but too rushed and anticlimactic. Kind of weird, because the rest of the movie was very climactic. Probably one of the better non-anime movies I've seen lately, though. I know I liked it a lot more than Star Wars...

Well, I'm going to go now. I want to go stand in front of the freezer or something...provided I don't get absorbed in Naruto fanfics again. I have a feeling I might. @_@
