Jan. 6th, 2012 12:47 pmAhhh, darn it. Lucky's adoption fell through because of the distance, basically. She decided she didn't want to adopt him without having met him and thought it was too far to bring her dogs and family to meet him, which I can understand, but it's too bad. I think she would have been a great match for him, and it's unfortunate that we went through the whole process before she decided this. :(
I'm going to have him put up on the site now, as well as the sites of a few of our local rescue groups that I've worked with.
I really want to find him a good home soon, mostly for the sake of the other animals in my household. It's awful having to keep Hooch separated from him. He's such a great dog, I totally love him and he thinks I'm the greatest person in the world, but he simply does not fit in our household very well between fighting with Hooch and constantly bothering Tosca.
Sarge the rooster returned. I don't know where he roosted, but he was right outside the coops as I expected yesterday morning. I'm glad he's back so he doesn't get eaten by anything (or anyone, really, knowing that's what people tend to do with roosters)!
I went down to Roseville for an appointment yesterday and ended up shopping for quite a while. I got a bunch of pony stuff, including the Cherilee and Cutie Mark Crusaders set, a Pinkie Pie pillow, the new winged pony with the peacock (they had Rainbow Dash and Rarity with wings, too, but their wings weren't as cool), and Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Luna/Celestia fashion ponies. I just need Applejack and Rarity (I see Rarity all the time in Yuba City so that'll be easy) in order to have all the main characters as fashion ponies. I also got some Jakks plush and figures, and art supplies, among other things. It was a fun shopping trip!
I discovered this used bookstore in Roseville that is absolutely amazing. So, so, so many books, I could live in there! They even had thousands of used manga, which I would have sorted through but it would have taken forever because of how they were arranged. One day I'm going to go down there and spend the whole day there, preferably with a friend.
The only thing was that I was sad because they only had a few Peter S. Beagle books. I talked to the staff about it and they said it's because people tend to hold on to his books. Ha, I can understand that!
I want to go hang out at dad's and work on some art stuff, and rearrange my collection, but I don't want to leave Lucky alone too much. Hmm, maybe I'll spend the day with Lucky and go over to dad's after it gets dark.
