This is probably going to be a long entry. Brace yourself. Only read it all if you're really that bored.
I just finished the end of Gravitation--which was very cute and happy, quite naturally. And, of course, merely because it ended, now I'm all sentimental and sappy. I feel kind of sad, really. It's bittersweet, because it was adorable and fun and bouncy, and now I have the whole series, but it's over. *Sniffle* And I wish we got another last interaction between Yuki and Shuichi, but the dog suit/kiss scene was great, so I'm not really disappointed about that after all.
To be honest, as I was watching 11 and 12, I was concerned that they would be able to end it in a way that I would be pleased with it. However, all doubts were eased when I got to 13, and I especially must say that I adored the last eight minutes or so of the series. I mean--Mew, it was really cute. The whole Glaring Dream thing was clever. *Being vague on purpose for as not to spoil for anyone, and because she's lazy* XP
Anyway, about my day. Ummm...what did I do today? I've forgotten now. It's all Gravitation's fault! *Flail*
Let's see... Start with last night... Last night Ryan was sick, so we went over to Mom's. Ryan was miserable for a while and kept throwing up, but now he's a lot better. I actually did some sewing last night! Go me! Okay, I was just sewing the hair clip back on to one of my wolf ears, but still... You've got to give me some credit here. I'm pathetic in the sewing department.
I watched AMVs, and...ummm...printed some Wolf's Rain screenshots. And then went to bed.
Before I was fully awake in the morning, Princess was meowing to go out of my room, so I got up and let her out. Back to bed. About two minutes later, she was meowing to come back in. I got up and let her in. Back to bed. Rinse and repeat about six times, and you get how I eventually woke up this morning. My cat is weird. But I love her anyway.
I was happy, because I found an old Pokémon shirt of mine that's in excellent condition and still fits great. I have TONS of Pokémon shirts, but most are getting a little on the faded side by now, so this was quite a find.
It's been cold and rainy the last few days, which I love. Today in particular, the rain was pounding down.
First period, Creative Writing, was uneventful. I got away with reading my Japanese Gravitation Vol. 12 during novel reading time. XP Mrs. McDaniel walked right past, and she either didn't notice or just didn't mind. Rae and I were chuckling to ourselves over that. One of the girls in my class, Kelsey, absolutely cannot understand how anime can be really dark and serious, so I was *cough* outlining some of the plot parts of Gravitation and Wolf's Rain. By the time I was done with her, Gravitation was "The one about gay guys and lots of people getting raped," and Wolf's Rain was "The one where nothing happens except characters dying violent deaths." XP I think I've messed her up forever.
Second period, US History, was spent in the computer lab. Heh heh heh heh. I finished my research on the Propositions early (thanks to Makayla giving me a great website on them), so I spent the rest of the time reading Tohma's LiveJournal. ^_^ Yay, Tohma~! He talks more about Yuki than he does about his wife and son. Go figure. XP
Third period, Anatomy, we continued taking notes on skin. Joy. Erin and I briefly discussed anime, but we were furiously taking notes most of the period, thus it didn't leave much room for discussion.
Fourth, TA period, was spent eating ice cream, selling food, and running TA errands. I was particularly interesting to the classes I went into today because I put my wolf ears on, had my Pokémon t-shirt, I was in shorts, and I refused to wear my jacket even though I was running around campus in the rain. It was about 30 degrees Fahrenheit, for the record.
Fifth, lunch. Cody and Nicole were pretty much nowhere to be found (I discovered later that they had merely been in the cafeteria standing in line for food, and I had been too stupid to look), so I was all whiny and distraught and acting like Shuichi. XP
Eventually, I accepted that they were somewhere else and got in discussions with some of my other friends about...various anime. Turns out one of the girls I befriended writes bad yaoi. *Shudder* Not to be mistaken for cute, innocent shounen-ai. We're talking...about as un-innocent as you can get. -_-;; At least she's not in any of my fandoms. ^^;; She's a nice person, though, and I like talking to her. Of course, this is Jessie's friend, so I'm not surprised. (FYI-- Jessie is one of my friends who is obsessed with yaoi. Again, not cute stuff. Rather graphic stuff. She claims she wants to change her gender so she can be gay. Personally, I don't see why she can't just be a straight female, but whatever. She's fun to talk to.) -_-;;
I've concluded that Greg is the type of person who latches on to whatever series happens to be on, seeing as he has almost ceased talking about Wolf's Rain and is now going 100 miles per hour about Read or Die. Not to imply I don't like Read or Die (I do), but geez...
Sixth period, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus. Completely uneventful. No, seriously.
Seventh period, English 3 Honors. Mackenzie and I analyzed Thoreau quotes and then discussed Lord of the Rings with Nate and Chris Selbie and other random people.
I hunted Nicole down after school and she walked with me to where my Mom picks me up. The mood of the day changed a lot suddenly. As we were standing there, a feathery rain began to waft down, and the sun peeked out from behind a cloud--illuminating the whole scene and turning the rain a shade of white. Oddly, I kept patting my hair, and it wasn't getting wet at all. Nicole and I had a philosophical discussion while we were standing there, waiting for my mom. She's still in that little quagmire of depression, though I'm not sure if depression is the right word. It's more like a slight disheartenment. She was talking about how people misinterpret what she says, and that everything seems repetitive and meaningless. I know she'll be just fine, though. Every now and then we all have those weeks, and she just needs something to cheer her up. I think I'll go call her.
I never saw Cody all day! It was pretty weird, because we see him almost every day, and not seeing him at all felt strange. He was there, I was just in the wrong places at the wrong times.
Well, I leave you all with the wise, wise words of Ryuichi Sakuma.
"Pika pika, Shuichi~!"
