pacificpikachuBack from Fanime! As of about twenty-four hours ago, but tired Pika is tiiiired. I came home and was going to "take a nap" at 8:30 PM, but ended up sleeping until 11 AM. Then I got up for about a half-hour to make sure all of my animals have water, and then back to sleep until 1:30 PM. I got up then very reluctantly because I needed to go to the Intake Center.
I feel like continuing to sleep, but I think I'll do that when it's actually a proper time to do so.
Anyway, Fanime was awesome! The highlights included:
- FLOW and Yuuya Matsushita concert, as previously noted.
- Pokémon gathering was a lot of fun! Some really impressive costumes and Umbreon was well-received.
- Also went to a Pokémon picnic in the park and got to hang out with some online friends and made some new friends! We got threatened by a teenager in the park, lulz, but he left before we could call the police on him.
- Blowing bubbles outside the convention center and watching people go crazy over them. I highly recommend bringing along bubbles to cons, it's fun!
- Watching a whole group of Pokémon cosplayers goofing around in the fountain at the end of the convention.
- Redeath Redux and Awesomely Bad J-Videos were as great as ever! I laughed so hard on Friday night that my cheeks started hurting and I got a slight headache, haha. Also went to hentai on Friday and that was hilarious, of course, and lead to several new in-jokes among my friends and I. ("Rick!" "Love juice on the futon," and more.)
- I was watching the Fanime game show on Sunday evening and before the game started, one of the contestants proposed to his girlfriend. Awww! The audience went wild. He then proceeded to win the game show, too.
- The GONG show, in which people tried to make the most terrible but entertaining singing act ever. Pretty amusing!
- Weird Manga, run by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
astrokittie and toggy. Haaa, so much bizarreness to check out! Gotta love the insanity of anime and manga at times.
- Checking off many of the items off my wants list, including a bunch of smaller Minccino items!
- Artist's Alley was particularly awesome this year for some reason. I bought a bunch of stuff!
It was a grand time, all in all. I'm sure I forgot some great things but I will try and remember more later. I need to take a picture of the merchandise I bought, too!
I'm a little sick now. Just a cold, not too bad. I'm sniffling, have a slight sore throat, my ears are plugged, and I cough on occasion.
I am so thankful, all of my other fowl are doing all right. The raccoon hasn't gotten to any others yet. I'm upset about my four I lost, though... I loved those birds so much, it's shocking that they're gone. I'm just coping with it a little at a time.
Oh, oh, and on another note, I have an invite to Gin's wedding in Pennsylvania in September! I'm definitely going to go, and I'm excited for it!
