May. 25th, 2010 01:32 pmI found one of my silver sebrights, Solitaire, randomly dead on the ground in the run. :( I don't know why she died... She looks completely healthy, and I looked and felt her over and couldn't find any abnormalities. The only thing I can think MAY have happened is that the ducks decided to mess with her and got carried away, but that seems pretty unlikely, especially because her feathers weren't messed up. Sometimes this just happens, chickens dying randomly for no detectable reason.
It's sad, but I'll be fine. It's an unfortunate part of having so many animals, you have to deal with their deaths. I know she had a good several years with me, though, and I just hope she didn't suffer. RIP, beautiful girl...
Comments disabled simply because I'll be just fine, I'd rather not dwell on it, especially because I don't think there was anything I could have done to prevent it.
Anyway, off with me to the intake center.
