I was not aware that I am a lovely angle! I wonder what that angle is? 30 degrees? 90 degrees? Bahaha, I just thought that was hilarious.
I had to help the last five chicks out of their shell (which you're not supposed to, buuuuut...), as they hadn't moved in twenty-four hours and I couldn't just let them die in there because the membrane dried out. :( They couldn't move. I'm hoping they'll be all right.
My duck egg has a pip in it now, too, which makes me wonder if I have to help the duckling out, too. Ugh. Better post on BackYardChickens. The first fourteen chicks are doing great, though!
Now I'm all worried about the chicks I helped--they're still kind of in a fetal position and some of them have membrane dried on them and it's like glue. :( Okay, posting on BYC, where I can get some helpful input. I'm hoping these guys are going to be all right!
