Mar. 7th, 2010 09:40 pmAside from the wildlife rehab volunteer recruitment day (which was lots of fun and very successful), I essentially slept all weekend. =___= Good and bad, I guess--good because I am feeling better and hopefully will continue to feel better, and bad because it feels like a waste of a weekend. I am so tired of being sick, having no energy, and doing nothing but sitting around and sleeping. I want to do fun things, accomplish stuff, have energy, spend time with people! That's what I'm hoping for.
I'm so happy The Cove won the Oscar for Best Documentary! I was fairly confident it would win, but still! Hopefully this will give a better chance to the slaughter of dolphins being stopped, as the documentary gradually gains more attention and Japan gets more and more global pressure to stop it. If you haven't seen it yet, you absolutely should. The majority of the movie is not graphic footage, and in fact the movie is quite exciting and well-made, as well as incredibly moving.
My eggs go into lockdown tonight! Three of the eggs are looking great, and I think those three have an excellent chance of hatching. The fourth egg is questionable, not expecting anything from it, but you never know. I will be happy as long as I get at least two chicks, because no chicks would be depressing and a lone chick would be sad and I'd have to go get a chick at the feed store or something to keep it company (and I would really rather not buy any hatchery chicks).
