Feb. 10th, 2010 11:37 pmNo wonder I've been so exhausted! I went to the doctor today and she's convinced I have a virus that's been going around my county. It supposedly can last up to six months, and the biggest symptom is fatigue. She prescribed me some medications and advised me to rest as much as I can and try not to expend too much energy, and take multivitamins. I'm so relieved that I know there is something actually physically wrong, and it's not just my imagination. I've been feeling lousy lately.
Named a few more of my chickens. The silver spangled hamburg hen is Porcia, the splash old english game bantam is Whisper, and the red brown pullet is Blackbird, and now I just need a name for the blue red pullet and the two silver phoenix bantams. Well, and the two serama chicks but they can't be named until I know their genders anyway. Lately they've been hopping around like little winged frogs and flying out of their enclosure to peep around the garage, much to the annoyance of their mother. XD They're fine, though, and they're mostly staying in their enclosure.
The night that I put my eggs in lockdown, there was a power outage for a few hours that I think may have killed the eggs. :( Such awful timing, just like the last power outage! I tried to salvage them, but...well, I'll know in a few days if they make it or not. Definitely a bit disappointing.
I might be buying a pair of call ducks (read: teeny tiny ducks), which I want terribly badly. My mom is not too happy because I've been obsessing over poultry more than usual since December or so, but, hey, everyone is cared for properly and happy and I love them, so it's okay. We'll see, I'm e-mailing people like crazy right now. Ughhh I need to stop buying poultry soon, but...call ducks!
